The Legend makes me incoherent

Seriously.
The bit in ep 9 where they are surrounded, and outnumbered and desperate and he is so digusted and angry at the waste and treachery of it all, and he is out of options and so he figures out with crazy suicidal (but correct) logic that the only way to prove to the governor who is not letting them in that the men chasing them are not his (because the bad guys' inflitrator is there, telling the governor that the men pursuing Dam Deok are actually DD's men) is...to get shot.
He sees his few, super-loyal men come down around him, being shot at, all because of him, and there is no way out. So he throws away his shield and steps into the light and promptly gets shot, luckily for him not fatally but still pretty badly, which finally wakes up the ^&^%^ governor.
But yeah, he knows he is basically done for no matter what, so he walks, with the arrow still in his shoulder, to Ho Gae, who is leading bad guys, and just stares him down, and then tells him 'Let's end this now. Just kill me and go away.' Because he wants to save his men.
I'd want to have his fictional babies but I ship him with Sujini too hard.
And seriously, Ho Gae. You are so manly, you are, on a horse, with a spear, 'fighting' a wounded, unarmed man on foot. Bravo. Ugh. Also, you do realize that if you kill him, Kiha will kill you, he binding to the Evil Elder and what not notwithstanding. She will. I am, however, impressed, that some honor, that is left in you, did listen and decide to kill Dam Deok personally (or maybe you just want vengeance too much to share).
ETA: YESSSSS! One of his men throws a spear to Dam Deok. Still not good odds but at least he has weapons now. YES. The resulting fight WINS AT DRAMA.
ETA2: Sujini!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She gets there on time! Because Ho Gae's 'forces'(which are really not his but the evil guys' who are using Ho Gae as a tool) get impatient and try to shoot Dam Deok but Sujini lands right in the middle, arrow literally to Ho Gae's throat so the evil forces won't shoot because they need Ho Gae and can't have him killed. OMG OMG SUJINI.
ETA3: OMG he finds out about Kiha (or what she is supposed to have done). And OMG OMG the archers are shooting now and Sujini covers him with her own body to protect him OMG.
