OMG, one of my favorite scenes. “I forgive you.’ Whoa. Yikes. OMG. They have such a messed-up, symbiotic, s/m relationship.

And he says he will give up travelling and imprison the Master in the TARDIS and take care of him (I guess he really is a Doctor, huh? Man, this would be a horrifying stint, if he did do it. You really get the sense of friendship which just went horribly wrong due to the Master’s insanity. And the sense of enormity of Ten’s loneliness. He needs to be needed.)
Also, seeing that we met The Doctor and The Master, were there Time Lords out there with names like The Plumber, The Antiquarian, or The Stone-Mason? Or maybe The Pole-Dancer.

And the slashers go wild. Ten begs The Master to regenerate but he won’t.
Nothing like a bit of crying to make it all better, huh? I have no idea how they can follow it up on all the cheeriness that started with Doomsday and culminated with this ep, because by this point, the Doctor dug his pit of despair so deep he is going to tunnel through and fall out of the other side of the Earth. Gallifrey, Rose, ‘his human self,’ the Master. I guess they could always give him a dog and then run it over.

At the end of the season, travelling alone again:
In other news. Overcome by house-cleaning zeal, I brought down all our books from the disorganized messe they were in and organized them into 12 categories (fiction/literature, British literature, history/sociology/biography/science, scifi/fantasy, mystery, Russian language, manga, romance, poetry/plays/essays/sagas, travel, cookbooks, miscelaneous) and put them on booksheleves in order, not double stacked or anything. Mr. Mousie calls it my ‘dorky decimal system.’ Heh. Result? Upcoming trip to IKEA, we need at least three more floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. We must own over a thousand books, which is cool most of the time, but when added to the huge amount of DVDs, creates spece problems for a tiny house. I have also discovered a number of books I didn’t realize I own, and have no idea how, either, e.g. some chick-lit novel about thirty-something friends in Dublin, which has price only in British pounds, so I must have bought it in UK but I do not remember when. Must have been when I visited a friend in Edinburgh in 2000-2001 Christmas break (ever after I went there with Mr. Mousie and had enough entertainment on hand :P) but I swear, I don’t remember buying it. Bizarre.
