I die of Handsome Siblings glee
Jun. 19th, 2007 11:39 amI had to stop ep 8 in order to return to real life which is just as well, as prolonged hyperventilation is bad for you.
But.
BUT.
OMG.
The Floral Palace maids knock Orchid unconscious and take her away and they know once Flower finds out, he will follow.
Which happens.
And meanwhile, the bucket-o-crazy otherwise known as the ‘Floral Palace leader’ is looking at the unconscious Orchid and is all ‘yeah, she is pretty, I can see why Flower fell for her’ and then as her sister asks her what her plan is, she outlines the really sweet and rational approach of:
‘I am going to make him kill her. And if he refuses my orders, I’ll kill her myself, very slowly and painfully, and he will suffer so much he is never going to dare to fall in love again.’ (and she is totally preferring the latter prospect).
When her sister, weaker but halfway up the mountain of sanity at least, ventures a mild protest, Crazy Lady retorts that Flower’s father made her suffer in love so it’s only fair she repays it to the son. Needless to point out, Flower’s poor father never even knew Crazy One liked him and all he did is fall in love with someone else and marry her (not to mention WTF does it have to do with his kid?)
And then, because she apparently purchased Evil at the same place she purchased Crazy, and both by the wagonload, she tells the maids to make Orchid as pretty as humanly possible, because of course she wants to torture Flower more. It’s not enough to punish him, she is going to get every last bit of enjoyment out of it.
And Flower shows up and I feel very bad for him as he is totally young and vulnerable and very outclassed by not being psycho evil (btw, I know their plan was to raise a bad guy, but they kinda screwed up. Repressed and reserved doesn’t mean evil). And he is totally begging to be punished and for Crazy Lady to let Orchid go, as it’s only his fault blah blah and he is in severe pain because of that injection Crazy Lady gave him that would act up every time he felt strongly about Orchid. And Crazy Lady (filling me with hate for her evilness and glee for the angst it produces) is toying with him and is all ‘how do you know I won’t let you be together?’ because she wants to make him hope so as to yank the rug even worse underneath him later, but not even Flower is naïve enough to be duped by that one. And yeah, more angst and the guy collapsing on his knees and other awesome stuff.
And then some time later, Orchid, all dressed up and awake walks into their main hall and Crazy Lady accuses her of stuff and tries to play Akito’s favorite game of ‘which one of you two is to blame for falling in love’ and I love how unflappable and cool and uncowed Orchid is. It’s basically ‘o-kaaaaaay. Insane lady here. I guess I shouldn’t expect a cake every year from her.’
And she asks where Flower is and Crazy Lady is all ‘yeah, he is here’ and you see they stuck him in a cage. And they order him to kill her and he refuses (and there is more freaking out and helplessness on his part) and there are worrying mentions of the fact that as a result of Crazy Lady’s injection, the more he loves Orchid the more the poison would work on his body and he would eventually be eaten from inside and die in great pain (that seems to be a favorite thing of Crazy Lady: inflicting great pain and lengthy monologues).
And there is fighting between two gals, and Little Fish rescues Orchid and the less crazy master lets Flower go after her, but (as planned by Crazy One), Orchid has only two weeks left to live and she is with Little Fish and she says she wishes she could have at least seen Flower and…there he is. She should have tried asking for a million dollars and seen what happens.
And he tries to cure her, but no go, and OMG, he is going to take her back to Floral Palace and beg masters to cure her, as she has nothing to lose and hey, without her, neither does he.
And OMG, they are travelling, and they break as he gives her water and she is barely breathing and he holds her and then he is also in horrible pain because of the poison and seriously…they are the most injured couple ever.
But he still manages to defeat the bad guy after them.
And then I had to go.
But seriously. CAGES.
CAGES, people.
And vulnerable and wounded and desperately in love Nicholas Tse.
P.S. Have I mentioned he hadn't told her 'I love you' yet, which she pointed out to him :)
