Smiling Pasta...makes me smile

I am watching my DVDs of Smiling Pasta and after a long day, it's just what I need.

What a frothy, light, adorable fairytale. And He Qun is just amazing, totally a dorama boyfriend I'd want. Much as I love my angsty bad boys, sometimes nothing can beat a sweet-natured, pretty well-adjusted good guy.

(SP is a Taiwanese drama about a 'cursed' college student (she can never date anyone longer than three months) who through a series of mishaps ends up having to pretend to be a fiancee of He Qun, a young pop celebrity. Of course, they soon fall in love for real.

Smiling Pasta! I kind of have a love hate relationship with this drama, because I feel like it's a plotline that Full House did a lot better, but I can't NOT love He Qun. He's just that awesome. He's so...normal. Well, as normal as a pop star can be.

I like fluffy and this is, but the main reason this isn't a 'once in a while' drama is He Qun who is just...I am always struck by the fact that he is a good guy, in a believable, not cloying way. I love the bit where the heroine is pouting about his stealing her first kiss, twice (heeee) and he grins at her that maybe he should wear a mask with Ah Zhe's face on it and kiss her again and it will make it better and it gets her to laugh. So normal.
