Indeed. Actually, I think my massive Buffy/Angel binge ended just a couple months before we met. Despite the fact that almost everyone I know is a Buffy fanatic, I didn't get into it until I caught late season 2/early season 3 eps of Angel on TnT about 2 years ago, now. As that was the period that Angel/Cordy was at its best, and I already knew how things would go, my shipping Buffy/Angel isn't anywhere as intense as yours, but I'm still all for them(not as much as I am Angel/Cordy, but I'm well aware that if it'd been seasons 2 and 3 of Buffy that I'd caught, it'd be a different story)

forgot to add...my Chinese takeout and IO are about to sit down with the last episode of Hwang Jin Yi, and I'd say that it has more tyhan enough romantic angst to keep you happy(enough to almost top my angst tolerance meter, which is borderline limitless for period dramas)

ahh, i just finished rewatching season 3, which confirms again joss whedon is god. such good dialogue, and really strong story arcs.

thinking of the series as a whole, i think it had to be my favorite season, despite the presence of Angel (sorry, cannot stand DB. . . ). you've still got young, innocent buffy, faith on the scene, cordy going back into total bitch mode, and the scoobies as they originally were. not to mention an evil demon mayor, and spike dropping in for an appearance.

Oh, nothing wrong with disliking DB. That's the beauty of a show with a decent size cast. Something for everyone. And agree, S3 is my fave. Second half of S2 is wonderful but first not as good, IMO.
