I just read this Ship Manifesto and it's down the rabbit hole we go.

I am back to Buffy/Angel, my first TV ship (my first TV show, really. I used to be all intellectual-disdainful of TV before that). I am back to watching Becoming Part I as only my second or third (!!!) ep in the show and knowing little about who Buffy was or who Angel was, and what the heck was going on, but falling so hard I could hear the thunk.

Buffy also made me careful of investing in TV ships unless the show is over (the rule I broke only once with Farscape, but to great results).

Oh Buffy.

I think I'll watch some eps tonight.

buffy/ angel the angst that got me reading fanfiction in the first place. thanks to buffy and angel it cemented my friendship with my best friend. well buffy and romance novels but it was a bonding thing.

although i was a a total buffy spike shipper.. ahhh i remembered that first episode and how cute angel was before the weight gain...

Ok, as someone who watched one or two episodes of Buffy while baby-sitting, and has no other knowledge about it, I have a question.

Do Buffy and Angel end up together in the end?

nope they don't, she kinda ends up with no one and when angel left she hooked up with a soldier named riley finn *hated his character* and then spike the other vampire, although that was kinda twisted.

although yeah in then end she's by herself until angel and spike goes to rome in his show and then they find out she hooked up with a demon called the immortal..

ohhh and angel kinda ends up alone but fell in love with cordelia

I kinda know about the deal with Spike...and that's about it. So basically, they either end up alone or with some random other person who isn't that great?

well in then end of buffy spike died and she was alone...

in the end of angel, spike angel and his crew were in a fight of their lives and that's how it ends. angel was alone and spike was alone.

so yeah everybody kinda ended all alone... it wasn't a great ending since it's open ended

Oh, Angel sort of flirted with Cordelia but before they could either declare anything or get together, she 'ascended' and then got taken over by demon and then had kid with Angel's son (long story, she was possessed, his son was magically created blah blah). So both are quite single at the end. Angel probably not for long as he is about to be very dead.

Oh, Angel showed up at the end of Buffy and there was smoochies but she basically said she wants to mature some more before a relationship.

*so jealous* I've only heard about Buffy, never seen it as I was out of country when it was playing, but ever since I've been sold on David Boreanaz in Bones I've been wanting to watch it. At some point-say, in six months when I'm settled down-I'll begplead someone on LJ to send me some episodes, or else search-and-download. :)
