World's longest drama meme

I thought it would be a fun to do a dorama version of one of those fandom memes.
Favorite drama overall: Mars (twdrama). My first and still the best.
(Japanese): Pride: How a drama about a hockey team could be this awesome, I have no idea, but there it is. It had tough competition from Forbidden Love and Kurosagi and Tatta Hitotsu No Koi, but it won hands down.
(Korean): It’s sort of a crazy tie between My Girl and A Love to Kill. They are so different I can’t pick.
(Taiwanese): Mars
Least favorite drama: I hate to pick on poor Marmalade Boy, but there it is…
Drama that everyone loves except for you: Twdrama Devil Beside You. I enjoyed it, but I don’t get the mad love people have for it. Too drama-less and the hero annoys me.
Drama that you love though no one else does: Twdrama Tokyo Juliet. People don’t hate it, or anything, but they are blah about it. And I think it’s a delight.
Drama you never thought you’d love as much as you do now: Goong. I started it out and I really didn’t see what all the fuss was about. And then, it’s like a switch flipped on and I ended up staying till a god-awful hour in the morning for days, crying and laughing, and screaming. (Though you know what? Those same sentences could have been written for It Started with a Kiss. Mind you, I liked it, a lot, when I began it. But mad love hit sometime in ep 7 or so…)
Drama you thought you’d love much more: Delightful Girl Chun-Hyang. It started out great and I was gleeful. But somehow I ended up being very bogged down in the middle with the push-pull-willya-won’tya stuff and have yet to finish it.
Angstiest drama: Taiwanese drama Silence. I confess I finally had to give up. And as someone who soldiered through and loved A Love to Kill, that’s saying a lot.
Fluffiest/funniest drama: Taiwanese drama It Started with a Kiss. I defy anyone not float on pink clouds for weeks after it. Or, if I have to pick purely funniest, without romance, Japanese drama Gokusen. At some points, I couldn’t breathe. Though if Hana Kimi keeps up, it could get there.
Most Melodramatic Drama: a tough category. So many entrants. I vote for the delicious jdrama Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake. Take an angsty famous composer and a teenage girl infected with AIDS, add star-crossed love and pregnancy and a wet in leather pants Takeshi, and you got something that is too delicious to miss.
Favorite drama hero: Chen Ling, Mars. Just read my 300 Mars posts to see why.
Favorite drama heroine: Yu Rin, My Girl and Qi Luo from Mars, tied.
The drama heroine that would rule the world: Shan Cai from Meteor Garden. The spunkiest heroine yet.
Hero I’d take home to mother: Gong Chan from My Girl. Except Mom might want him too.
Evilest drama parent: Domyouji/Dao Ming Si’s mother in HYD/MG. Eeeeeeek. Or Hikaru’s mother in Forbidden Love.
Most awesome drama parent (a small category): The heroine’s awesome family in Smiling Pasta. Heeee.
Worst drama outfit: Fernando’s knee-high boots, red tartan knee-high puffy pants, and crushed burgundy buttonless shirt with fur coat on top in Magicians of Love.
Craziest drama fashion: Magicians of Love. I am still blind. Though men’s fashion in Goong and overall fashion in Hana Yori Dango are also note-worthy.
Best drama kiss: Hmmm. Toughie. If I had to pick just one, Mike He and Ariel Lin’s inside aquarium kiss in Love Contract. But I cannot go without mentioning the runner ups of “that” kiss in Goong, or the kiss in the water in Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake (or the kiss where Takeshi admits his feelings, in the concert venue). Or the “I want to eat you up” kiss in Mars or the rain kiss in It Started with a Kiss or the awesome on the beach kiss in A Love to Kill. Or the first kiss in Tokyo Juliet, with Ariel Lin kissing Wu Zun (first!) in front of his evil father and the whole evil staff. There is a lot of good kissing in dramas, apparently :)
Best rain scene (come on, every single drama has one :D): Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin in the climax (because it does go on to tie lose ends but this is really where it all gets resolved) of It Started with a Kiss. I have rewatched the sheer awesomeness of that scene 1500 times. Though if we are going for angst, the scene where Shan Cai has to tell Dao Ming Si she never loved him in Meteor Garden.
Favorite drama couple: Surprisingly, not hard. Chen Ling and Qi Luo from Mars. No question about it. They are just so complicated and complimentary and different and teach each other how to live and it’s just…just thinking about them gives me butterflies in stomach.
Worst drama couple: Joe Cheng and what’s her name (I don’t even want to look it up) in Magic Ring. I spent a good portion of that drama telling Joe Cheng to run far far away and asking if he was insane to want to hook up with her.
Most UST couple: Yamapi and Horihita Maki in jdrama Kurosagi. It wasn’t even spoken (as a mutual thing anyway) but Oh my God. If looks could burn.
Couple You Never Thought You’d Root For, before Drama: Hikaru/Michi in Forbidden Love. it’s student/teacher, for goodness’ sake. But I shipped the poor woobies so very hard.
Most awesome gang of friends: Dao Ming Si, Lei, Xi Men and Mei Zuo in twdrama Meteor Garden . I totally love F4 (the characters, not the band, though the band is certainly yummy eye candy). They are just almost as fun to watch in their interactions as DMS and Shan Cai. Almost.
Best Guy-Girl Friendship: Lei and Shan Cai in Meteor Garden. I just love how it went from her unrequited crush on him to their awkward attempts at dating, to them actually being awesome friends.
Favorite secondary OTP: Yuan Yi and Qing Zi in Devil Beside You. I got pretty fed up with the main OTP at one point but OMG, this OTP made the drama worthwhile. They are tied with Xi Men/Xiao You from Meteor Garden (good Lord, I even wrote fic :P).
Favorite “Third Person” in a love triangle: Jeong-Woo (Lee Jun Ki) in kdrama My Girl. He almost made me root for him instead of the OTP. Can’t wait to watch him as the lead in a 2007 kdrama.
Least favorite “Third Person” in a love triangle: You know, that’s a really tough competition. Because I don’t even want to waste a moment thinking of that ‘needs to be killed now’ ex of Gong-Chan’s in My Girl, I nominate the creepy producer guy from Delightful Girl Chun-Hyang. Or Yukari in Kurosagi.
Favorite drama actor: OK, this was hard. And then it wasn’t because I remembered Vic Chou (or Zhou or whichever way his name gets anglicized). Yes.
Favorite drama actress: Ariel Lin (ISWAK, Tokyo Juliet etc). She is just beyond adorable and funny and can act and I just love her. Though Barbie Hsu (Mars, Meteor Garden) and Lee Da Hae (My Girl, Green Rose) were also in the running.
Hottest drama actor: Takeshi Kaneshiro (e.g. Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake). Are you kidding? Have you seen him? *pants* Though Takizawa Hideaki, Vic Zhou and Mike He are stiff competition.
Hottest drama actress: Song Hye Gyo (e.g. Full House)
Actor/actress you wish would make more dramas: Jerry Yan (DMS in MG). Come on, indulge the fangirl! Kang Dong-Won. He hasn’t even made one since 2004. *frustrated* Joo Ji Hoon. Come on, make another one. Also, Takizawa Hideaki. But I am more indulgent with him because I still have a number of his dramas to work through.
Actor/actress you pray would make less: Park Si Yeon. Yeah, I’ve only seen you in My Girl, but I never want to see you and your lip-gloss ever again.
A couple you want to see paired again (that don’t have an upcoming drama): Mike He and Ariel Lin. I thought they were scorching in Love Contract
A couple you want to see together for the first time: Horihita Maki and Takizawa Hideaki. Why? No idea. I guess that way she can claim the triple crown of jdrama hotness (of guys under 30 anyway) since she already acted with Yamapi and Kame.
Manga you’d want to see adopted into a drama: Now that Hana Kimi, which was top of my list is done as a live action, I want Hot Gimmick to be adopted. It would make more sense as a jdrama than a twdrama, though.
Worst manga-to-live-action adaptation: Twdrama Peach Girl. True, Marmalade Boy was worse, but I didn’t like that manga anyhow, while I actually adored PG manga/anime and it was turned into something so lifeless.
Best manga-to-live-action adaptation: Twdrama Mars. I liked the manga a lot. But the adaptation? Was 17 times better.
Unsubbed drama that you wish was subbed: Mike He’s Marry Me. And Vic Chou’s Love Storm (though that one I am actually watching unsubbed anyway).
Most anticipated drama:
Japanese: Hana Yori Dango 2. Are you kidding?
Taiwanese: It Started with a Kiss 2: see above
Korean: Time between Dog and Wolf. Lee Jun Ki in a lead role!
Your turn (heeee, you don't have to do all of those).
Favorite drama overall: Mars (twdrama). My first and still the best.
