I am all excited because I just found out that Joo Ji-Hoon (Shin in Goong) finally has another drama. And a really odd, trippy one, no less. YES!!!

Not only that, but starring opposite him is Shin Min Ah, whom I've loved in A Love to Kill (does she always seem to star opposite psyschotically troubled woobies?)

The Devil

Date of airing : March 21st (after DalJa's Spring) KBS2

Here's the summary:

The tragic event of their childhood entwined the fates of two men and a woman who has an ability in psychometry. Psychometry is a form of extra-sensory perception wherein a psychic holds an object in his or her hands in order to obtain information about the object or its owner. Joo Ji Hoon is a lawyer Oh Seung Ha who is destined to meet a police detective, Kang Oh Soo (Uhm Tae Woong). Shin Min Ah plays Suh Hae In, a 25 year old mysterious librarian with an ability in psychometry. She has also been diagnosed with amnesia and a sleeping disorder.

Kang Oh Soo, who is from a rich family, had accidentally caused Oh Seung Ha to lose his brother and mother when he was young. Oh Seung Ha later grows up to be a lawyer who wants to seek revenge on Kang Oh Soo who is now a police detective. Oh Seung Ha and Suh Hae In will have feelings for each other while Kang Oh Soo has a one sided love for Suh Hae In.

The weirdest thing? The people on soompi boards are saying that Joo Ji-Hoon's character is supposed to be a serial killer!!!!!

EEEEEK? WTF???? How can he have a love affair with someone if he keeps heads in boxes or similar? I mean, I love my men messed up but there are limits...But I guess that's where SMA's special skills will come in, or something. This sounds so boggling and messed up I simply have to watch.

I know. It's going to be sooooo twisted. I guess Chae-Gyung is lucky Shin didn't just snap her neck off :D

I do think JJH has this really cold vibe he can do which would totally go. I am still confused about the love story part though. I mean, I am pretty liberal about my fictional men's hobbies, but how can you have a love story when one aprty is a serial killer?

Just realized while eating that that may have come across as thinking the actress who played Chae-Gyung as unworthy, which isn't the case...just that last time I looked at their d-wiki bios, she was the only one who really had anything new after.

Actually, Hyo-Rin is in Jumong/Book of Three Han, which I'm very much looking forward to(and which was just upped to 80 episodes *dies*) along with 2 of the leads(including my favorite) from Emperor of the Sea and the girl from the secondary OTP in 1% of Anything...so...Jumong=great cast+period(the women will look amazing in the costumes...I've seen a few pics to back it up) and Yul had what looked to be another "other guy" in a drama, but she's the only one who seemed to have a big role...hopefully, that'll change, as they were all great.

Have you seen Dexter? The show revolves around a serial killer who tries to be "normal" and he gets into a relationship with a damaged woman and it works, surprisingly. My summary of it is shitty and doesn't do Dexter justice, but yeah.

That's a good pic of him... I dig the glasses. Uhm Tae Woong as in the annoying cradle-robbing Producer guy in Choon Hyang? Yeurgh.

Yup, that's him. God, I hated him in DGCH (which I suppose means he did his job). Poor Min Ah. Her choice is between a serial killer who looks like JJH and a guy who isn't a serial killer but played by UTW.

I wonder if the serial killer thing is true. It seems like such an odd topic for a kdrama if true.

Y'know, I find it concerningly easy to see him as a serial killer.

Remember when he and Yul were in the parent's love nest and he was going on about "dirty" I was half expecting a dead Yul by the end of the scene. I mean, I didn't think that was what was going to happen, but, you know...

I know! By this point I don't care if he dressed in a pumpkin suit and played the Great Pumpkin. I just want to see him back on my screen. And this being a kdrama, it will most likely be subbed! (I was all excited when Jerry Yan did another drama, but I can't find the Hospital with subs anywhere...)
