dangermousieAfter finding that watching Full House in too large a swathe was inducing fits of freaking out at the TV (OMG! I am going to hyperventilate with that show), I went to B&N to hang out.
Specifically, I went to check out Basara manga. The store didn't have it (I am going to go to a better stocked one later in the week), but I did end up reading Hana Kimi Vol 2 and E.S., Furumi Soryo's (of the Mars fame) new manga.
E.S. has the most amazing artwork. Almost no dialogue because it doesn't need it. And such different story from Mars. I am only done with the first issue of the first volume but can't wait to read more.

crumpeteer asked me who I thought was the hottest anime character, and I decided between Aoshi and Tamahome, but if I was asked about who is the hottest manga character, I'd say Sano, hands down! OMG. Sano IS love. And Sano/Mizuki are a HUGE OTP. And there was kissing. And the whole, he is in love with her but he can't let her know he knows she is a girl, and she is in love with him but she thinks he thinks she is a guy and she can't let him know she is a girl. I was cracking up at a completely hot gratuitous shot of Sano in the shower.
I also bought the first volume of Ayashi No Ceres. I've loved the anime and the manga has gorgeous art-work and the story has been compressed in the anime, so I really wanted to get Ceres.Also, Toya is wicked HOT. And yes, the artwork is gorgeous and everything is beautiful, but I'd forgotten how depressing it was. I am in the very beginning and I see Aya and Aki normal and I hurt for them. I don't think I could read it actually, I realized. AnC is the anime that maxed out my angst capacity after all. (Trigun made me devastated near the end and Fushigi Yuugi made me bawl in the second half, but nothing has hit the angst thing as much as AnC).
On Full House front, I am going to KILL Young-Jae's father. GRRRR. Nobody hurts Ji-Eun and lives. Or tells her to break up with Young-Jae. ARGH. URK. EEEEEEEP. GRRRRRR.
While I am at hitting people with monosyllables, Min-Heuk also needs to be hit with a few.
In other news, I understand why they won't tell each other how they feel but put me out of my misery and get together, people. Also, the bit where YJ keeps telling JE there is something on her eye-lashes so she should close her eyes and then leans in to kiss her and every time they are interrupted is funny and adorable and eeeee!
And I love the scene after JE tries to coax YJ to eat after the blow up with his father and he is all 'do you think I have any appetite?' and she is 'then I won't eat either' and he is all concerned and is 'but you need to eat' heeeeeee. And she basically gets him to eat so she will.
