As a next step in my sneaky (or not) attempt to get as much love for Hana Kimi on my flist as there is for Hana Yori Dango 2, and because crumpeteer asked me some time ago whether I had a Wu Zun (Quan in HK) picspam before, I bring you:

Then let me deliver coup de grace. Behind the cut are two MVs. The first one is from the OST and features Ella and Wu Zun as their Hana Kimi characters but the scenes aren't from HK, as the MV has its own little story. The second is Farenheit (the prettiest boyband ever) singing another song from the soundtrack with plenty of Jiro-centric HK clips. I dare you to resist:

Hana Kimi will definitely be getting some love from me, hopefully in the near future as I work out the various codec problems I'd been having with my downloads that prevented earlier gleeing... I loved this manga, powered through the entire thing in less than a week, and just can't wait to see if they include some of my favorite scenes...

I've seen a few bits here and there as I'v tested my downloads, and I just can't get over how convincing the actress is at playing a girl believably acting like a boy. And Jiro!! He stole my heart in ISWAK (even with Joe Cheng to occupy all of my attention and love) and really hope he will one day star in a series where he can actually get the girl.

I don't think she is pretty but the character really isn't supposed to be. I find her cute (which she IS supposed to be) but it's subjective. And the actress is hysterically funny.

Yay! HK is hardsubbed so codecs shouldn't be a problem, should it? (Or am I confusing this with something). They've included some of my favorite scenes so far, so I am very squeeful.

The actress is wonderful. She is still very charming and Mr. Mousie took one look and went 'this is a girl' but she is believable enough in an all-boys school and it's adorable.

And Jiro? I want him to be the lead somewhere so badly. He was in KO One but it's unsubbed and I really want to see it! I need to kidnap a Chinese speaker...

I'm still resisting on starting it, because I want to finish at least a few of the doramas I'm currently watching (5 or 6 of them, I'm starting to lose track...), but I definitely intent to check it out sometime in the future. Preferable when all of it's been subbed, so I can get it on DVD :).

Intriguing. How is it possible that Ella makes for a cute boy AND a pretty girl? The magic of styling, I swear to god. I like her a lot, though, but I think one has to *see* her act the role to understand how lovable she can be in it, it doesn't really come off in photos (sadly).

Did you see the end of ep 2 with the rampant Wu Zun/Ella speculation? I laughed, Ella was hilarious just rambling on about some childhood song. So WTF-y and precious. Liked how they were consciously feeding the rumors with the "Honey!" calls.

I'm slowly getting the hang of this dorama business. So basically every actor is either a pop singer, or a model, or about to become either, or has already been both. Am I right?

The not-HK-but-as-HK-characters MV was the loveliest ever. Love the cinematography and everything of it.

The mv links are v. nice, but the second mv is a fanmade mv and not the Fahrenheit performance/mv - and the three mvs after are all Rainie. :D

That dog is HUGE. I love how Wu Zun looks at it.

I bet that if I saw ella in person, I'd think she was attractive - but she seems to have that thing where she's photogenic but not very telegenic - plus the fact that she doesn't have that kickass haircut on the show and the makeunder certainly doesn't help matters. But she does pass for a boy, and that's the main plot point...and damn, I covet her skin. All the boys too - lovely, lovely skin.

Where are the torrents/uploads for KO1? I'm curious now to see how Jiro fares when he's the lead.

Basically. There are exceptions but not too many.

And that MV is just...the only other MV from an OST in a similar format (characters-but-not-characters) that I love more is the one from Love Contract.

i think ella is perfect for the role. (although it took me a couple episodes to finally fall for her... same as in the rose.) i just watched ep. 11 yesterday... dang i can't wait for more hot springs action haha!!

Nope, still staying strong :). Besides, if I were to start one (or two) more drama(s), the first choice would be Hanadan2.

I'll wait on starting Hana Kimi probably until I've finished either Majo No Jouken or The Snow Queen and have died of total angst and feel in need of something light and funny :).

i think there are suppose to be 15. (absurdly short for a twdrama!)

i haven't read the manga... but it seemed much longer, so i'm wondering whether there might be more after all (then again, i guess there is only so long you can keep a secret identity private in a show.) and i heard the tv ratings aren't that great in taiwan :/

I think Ariel *might* be able to pass as a younger boy (13-15, maybe), but her features are a little too feminine. Ella is the only Taiwanese actress out of the batch who fits the role if you ask me... the rest of them are all cutesy and girly.

I mean, someone like Rainie Yang? Never.
