Goong. Gooooooong.

dangermousieI am through ep five of Goong, even though I am still a bit at sea about what's going on due to Subtitles of Doom. It's so much fun, even if it is most angst-free dorama I have seen so far.
The subtitles are unbelievable. At one point our heroine tells our hero that 'I really want to blow you.' Somehow, I don't think that phrase means what they think it means.
I was cracking up at the wedding and the wedding night (or lack of one) was even funnier. The fact that they both fell asleep at the dinner table is LOL. I do like Shin now. He is quite reserved and not inclined to be interested in others, but there are hints of boyishness. I think I started liking him when he was playing basketball with other guys and clearly enjoying the fact that for once, he was not surrounded by bodyguards (one of his big reasons for agreeing to marry). And he was kind to Chengyung before the wedding, telling her he'll divorce her when he comes of age if she wants. I find it kinda endearing that Shin just seems to be amused by Chengyung. And he was thoughtful enough to get her parents to come (and then she had to miss them because of lessons). He is entirely too controlled and she is entirely too spontaneous so if they rub off on each other, it will be a good thing. I did love the scene during his bday party where she ended up hanging out with Yul (who needs to go easy on the lipstick. You are a guy, 'k?) and her girlfriends and having a splash fight and he ended up watching her and you could see he was kinda envious of her ability to have fun. And eeeee, you can see he was touched by her present of the shoes. I do like that so far this is slow and understated development of any possible relationship.
Favorite bit was about the headphones though. I like how he always has them in and so everyone assumes he can't hear them, but instead there is nothing on them and he is actually listening to people who don't realize he can hear them.
His gf is be-furred and annoying though.
