Salaam-e-Ishq. Can't wait to see!

I confess.
My most anticipated movie? Is Bollywood's Salaam-e-Ishq a very loose interpretation/riff on Love Actually (it borrows the theme of interconnected love stories, but except for one of them, the stories are very different).
I am going to see it the coming weekend with
smartylibrarian, so I bring you a picspam of the incredibly pretty people starring in it. For previous picspams of the movie, go here, here, and here. In fact, since I did do general picspams before, these are picspams of the three stories I am most interested in. (1) Kkamini and Rahul (Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan). Kkamini is an ambitious Bollywood item girl (a girl who dances a sexy number in movies) who wants to be a star and Rahul is the man who muddies her plans in a madcap fashion. (2)Tehzeeb and Ashutosh (Vidya Balan and John Abraham), an inter-religion newly married, professional couple (she's a Muslim, he's a Hindu) who face tragedy (I know spoilers and am looking forward to this story the most). (3) And Raju and Stephanie (Govinda and Shanon Esra), a taxi driver who dreams of a 'blonde girl' getting into his cab one of these days and falling in love and a blonde foreigner who came in search of her scummy boyfriend.

Date: 2007-01-29 05:00 pm (UTC)1. I can't wait for non-watermarked pictures, because OMG Priyanka's outfits!! :D
2. ... Why is John letting Vidya paint his toenails?? ;)
3. Oh Govinda, someone ought to put him out to pasture already.

3. Noez :( I am not the world's biggest Govinda fan but apparently he did a really great job here and his rather ordinary looks actually fit: he's a taxidriver. He isn't going to look gorgeos or glamorous or anything but average.

3.Good point about him trying to fit an average character. I just can't help but laugh at the idea of some pretty gori mem falling for him. ;)

Date: 2007-01-29 07:14 pm (UTC)Yeah, but I don't think she is very pretty either. Ordinary looking even if blonde which is of course instantly popular (not a stunner like Antonia Bernath in Kisna or the girl leads in RDB or Dil Jo Bhi Kahey).

Date: 2007-01-29 07:12 pm (UTC)Several alternatives come to mind:
1. He raided the closet of Toya from Ayashi No Ceres (if he also took the dagger appearing from arm and wings, that would be awesome).
2. Priyanka is a harsh mistress :D
3. Bollywood designer exercising some *ahem* private fantasies...
:D
