dangermousieI am nw watching "Devil's Trap" and Oh. My. Guh. The only thing hotter than falling apart Dean is the angry and dangerous Dean. No wonder he keeps a good control of himself. Because when he slips the leash? Whoa. When he declares war on hell or when he just tells Meg "I lied" and gets Sam to finish her after she gave them the info? And even Sam is taken aback, but Dean is utterly ruthless. And yes, the fact that real Meg dies as well, is another thing for him to beat himself about, but he doesn't stop asking her questions even as she is dying. It's freaking scary. And freaking hot. The boy does this icy anger which is scarier than shouting.
I also love how he just won't give up or believe John is dead. John might be a lousy father, but Dean is an awesome son.
ETA: And of course, when Dean tells Sam "I am going to be the one to bury you," he expresses his huge deep fear (not an unfounded one). And he is right. It is selfish to care more for revenge, for dead people, than for the ones currently alive. Simpler too, which is why I think John is good at it. He was so busy reveling in wangst, he never saw how much he screwed up his kids. But it's a lot easier to mourn than to interact day to day.
