You can't take the sky from me
May. 10th, 2006 10:41 pmI am rewatching the perfection that is Firefly and am watching "Our Mrs. Reynolds." I am so full of giddy glee. Every time I just forget how perfect that show was, how funny and how sharp. Every time I get PISSED OFF that it got cancelled. I adored the movie, but the lack of BO means it is extremely unlikely there would be more, and I am selfish. Even though "Serenity" left us with a satisfactory conclusion (and was the best movie of 2005), I would have loved for it to be more. Not too much, because when Joss runs out of ideas he tends to heap misery that makes no sense (Buffy), but a season or so more. I love the characters, I want to see more of them.
And OMR. How hilarious. And I didn't notice before, but when Inara sees Mal married, she goes all still and you can see how much it bugs her. It's only after she realizes it's an accident and Mal isn't pleased, when she is emotionally off the hook that she can afford to go back to her usual "Mal, be a human being, don't insult the girl" stance. She can afford to be generous and tell him to be nice to Saffron precisely because he isn't. Yay.
And every time I see Wash and Zoe happy, I feel like crying a bit. And I love when Kaylee comforts the crying Safforn, Jayne, off to the side is slily touching her (Saffron's) shoulder. Heee.
Btw,
femmenerd, are there going to be any more parts to your GORGEOUS Mal/Inara fic? Please?
Also, Mal is so my TV husband.
