Yay! We went shopping in Target which for me was totally exciting. An orgy of consummerism. I live in a big city with no large stores but a lot of awesome small boutiques, so this was sort of exciting. It was sort of like 'eeee, that is what real grown-up married people do.' Yeah, I am five.

Bought the first season of Rome though, sight unseen, because of the raves, so we shall see...

Also, in discussing ancient Egyptians, Mr. Mousie and I concluded they were the world's first goths:

1. Men wear lots of make-up and shave their heads.
2. Really really obsessed with death.
3. What other religion worships an undead deity with such fervor? Hello Osiris the Zombie.
4. Ergo it makes sense modern day goths love ankhs.

Yes, our conversation tends to be random.

Oh, and as a counter type thing? Times the running scene from Hanadan rewatched as of today: three.

And sign I am scarily obsessive? All the dramas I have that aren't official shiny sets but burned copies? O bought three gigantic cd-file cases and have one each now, for Japanese, Taiwanese and Korean. Took me ages to sort (big shock, Korean one is the biggest :D)

I hope you like "Rome", I am very interested to hear what you think. It is my favourite thing of the moment, beating EVERYTHING. Real male friendship is something I like even more then love stories. I think this is why I am so attached to "Meteor Garden"/HYD too.

And EEEEEEE! I have gotten Ceres, but it was too late by the time Sasha went to bed because I have already started watching "1 % of anything" (and even more -EEEEE! for Kang Dong Won).

I think unless it's awful, I'll like it. I am partial to ancient history stuff.

Oh, I hope you get to Ayashi No Ceres at some point :)

Rome, wasn't that the one with all the nakididity of the Britsh-pretending-to-be-Roman actors?

Leave it to me to know about that part but not the reviews.

I have *thinks* a 60 CD holder and 3 CD books that hold 24 CDs each for the unwatched disks...the case and one book are full, and ten a 150 CD/DVD case for the watched stuff that's a little over 2/3s full.

I need to get Rome, and season 2 of Deadwood, but I refuse to pay HBOs prices. I barely tolerate the lower BBC/A&E prices(though they've repackaged and rereleased some older things for slightly beter prices, which helps)

Good point about Goths/Egyptians. Though I do have a friend who jokes about "zombie Jesus day" in response to the one point.

I have way too many dramas (almost 400 disks). Most of them still unwatched. Eeeeek!

you really need to work on that. My recent anime orde SHOULD curtail dorama buying for a bit...though I have an order that's FINALLY in dallas...

We are sad.

we are sad, but those who are sad because their TIVOs are empty and they don't believe in backlogs are sadder.

I should watch episode 3 of Hanadan--I've had it downloaded since yesterday but never got around to it. I love Target too, by the way. I was there the other day stocking up on supplies (snowstorm coming!) and really, I think I too need to start properly organizing my CD spindles. My Saturday was pretty ordinary, not as interesting as yours, since I spent most of it doing homework and then procrastinating by editing fanfic instead. And now, off to try my hand at this ragu recipe that [livejournal.com profile] winterspel passed on a whlie back...

We did the target run today too! Thankfully, we stuck to our whole buy nothing except stuff we need thing and were in and out in 15 minutes. It was great. We also hit Lowes and got wood (I *wish* we had a local lumber/hardware store) that did NOT take 15 minutes. :-)

Yeah. We don't go shopping very often so it's always a bit exciting.

Target is magical! Even though I live really close to one and therefore going there isn't all that special...it is still awesome and it is full of awesome things at awesome prices!

Or maybe I'm still recovering from 2 years of living somewhere without a Target. I don't know how I did it! (Well, there was a Target 30 minutes away, so perhaps I am exaggerating.)

Rome is on my Netflix queue - no idea when I'll get to it! Too many shows to watch, not enough time!

Heeee. No, I don't get to go to big stores much, period, so this was totally wonderful. And I couldn't get used to how cheap everything was.
