Almost done with Meteor Garden

I have decided that Shan Cai is the queen of passive-agressive. You either like him and you tell you do, or you give up but stop doing "I'll tell him I don't like him but mope when I see him laughing with his ex-fiancee." You can't have it both ways. In RL if you treat a guy this way, you won't see him for the dust.
The scene with Dao Ming Si's friend dragging him to SC's place to apologize was hilarious (and of course SC and DMS end up fighting 'you came all this way to tell me you don't like me, you must be bored' but then he does apologize. Their marriage life will be so unrestful). But not as funny as DMS on a public bus. Mind boggles. That boy is soooo poorly socialized ;p Also, Lei? Best friend ever.
The 'fake cousin' guy wins an award for most annoying character ever. Hint to SC: bad idea to pick a date because he reminds you of your ex. If he pours a glass of water on your head, threatens to choke you, stalks you, tries to have sex with you, and admits someone paid him $$$ to go out with you? You really should stop hanging out with him. It's amazing SC survived to her age. Also, it's kinda Mary Suish that all guys fall for her. I liked HYD anime framework better. Please, please let DMS beat him to death.
Oooooh, love the scene where DMS finds SC who is about to get on the bus with 'fake cousin' and asks her 'what can I do to have you in my life. I can't not have you.' And SC gets on the bus anyway and he runs after it and she is crying and then she finally makes up her mind and makes the bus driver stop the bus and she gets off and she goes running to him (as he is just sitting on the road) and she is all "Idiot, do you want to get run over?" and the look on his face as he sees her run to him? And then they run towards each other and hug and hold on for dear life. And then the next morning they meet in the alcove in school and he just hugs her in this huge hug. I love that he really is so awkward and not sure how to behave. In fact, they are both such kids. And she tells him she made him lunch and he is so pleased "You made this for me?" and she asks him if no girl ever did it for him before and he replies "sure, but I thought they looked scary so I never ate them" Heeeee. And she is such a cute flirt because she asks him "so why are you eating mine?" and they just grin. And then she tells him she wants to keep their dating a secret and he is all upset and she tells him it's because she wants to be with him and she is afraid if his mother finds out she will try to separate them again and she couldn't bear it because the night she left him standing in the rain broke her heart and she couldn't do it again, and of course he melts. And he tells her whatever she wants to do is fine as he will do anything to be with her and if he has to give up his family to be with her, fine.
And then later she is all 'I want to call him but I have nothing special to talk about.' Awwww. And she calls him and he is right behind her.
And since I am watching the two eps I skipped by mistake last night, I see more of Shi Mein and Shiao You and so much shippy love! When she comes and finds him and tells him she likes him and he smiles and says he likes her back and she is 'But I am serious' and he tells her that she looks beautiful with that serious expression on her face but she is too serious.' And he tells her 'what would you like me to do? Would you like us to date, kiss, have sex?' and she slaps him and then is horrified and apologizes. And he looks at her and tells her 'you see, that is how I am. I can be a good lover for you for a week. But you need a good man, someone to take care of you. And I can't be that person.' OK, rabid shippiness.
DMS running over to SC's house because he is worried about a robber? Love. His overpaying way too much for a crappy apartment next door so he could be next to her? Even more love. The fact that they want to go over to each other's place in the middle of the night but are too shy? Even better. And her feeding him and his thinking that he just wants to watch her sleep. So much love.
