The torrent for ep 1 is out on d-addicts!!!! It's a gigantic file, 1.3 gb, in part because the ep was 2 (!!!) hours long (and hopefully in part because the files are good quality). I just started the download and it's downloading psycho fast though, and if the speed keeps going, the whole thing will dl in under 1 hour (I will seed afterwards, of course). There is also one on clubbox, but I have no idea how to use those, as I don't read Korean and my computer also has troubles with Korean script (I'd need to dl a separate program, the way I did with Russian).

They are RAWs of course, but I don't care! I know the flipping manga backwards!

Oh. My. God.

In the morning I will have Domyouji! And Tsukushi! To watch! Yes, I am abusing the exclamation point.

As a little treat to whet the appetite, I bring this vid from youtube, which the new theme song with clips from HYD1, but a bunch from HYD2 as well. YES.

I am glad to annouce that while Domyouji's hair might be better, Kaede is still evil. YES.

[livejournal.com profile] smartylibrarian, I am so sorry I couldn't make it to the party. By the time I was done with everything it was much to late for anyone but vampires...

Sorry...

*grovels*

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] fireball_says and everyone else who has torrent problems. The awesome [livejournal.com profile] bittersweet_bun just started uling it (in parts as it's huge) in dlable format on mu here.

not a Hanizawa Rui in sight...and that mention of him at the end had me so hopeful...

*wills the series to be finished so she can watch it on her tv*

Not to completely change the subject or anything(who? me?) but have you seen any of the Korean dramas that are the sets with english and chinese subs? There's a period drama that I can get on ebay right now for a good price inthat version, but I'm leery of any version that have chinese and english subs, out of fear of sub quality.

The one I am watching right now, Green Rose, has both sets (it might have Malay, too, not sure) and the subs are excellent. Ditto for Sang-Doo Let's Go to School. It's pick and choose. Some of the ones with both have good subs and some (Spring Waltz in later eps) don't.

ok, for Ha Ji Won(Damo and Duelist) in a period role she trained her butt off for, I'll risk it.

Plus, after I finish EotS(2/3 there!) I'll want a shorter period drama before diving ind Dae Jang Geum and Seo Dong Yo

Thanks!

Which drama is it? Is that the new one with the long name?

Hwang Ji Ni/Hwang Jin Yi...it's the one I picspammed a while back with the insanely gorgeous costuming and dances.

Let me know how the subs are when you get it. I am rather interested in this one!

I'd risk it (the english subs on Chinese series are likely to be more problematic) though sometimes the English subs don't resemble anything from Planet Earth (the version of Goong with both Chinese and English subs is a case in point. It was literally incomprehensible).

Heh...I remember you talking about the Goong subs. That's a series where, at least for the early episodes, you NEED good subs, simply because the language and the difference between informal and formal Korean(and while my ear for Korean is far from perfect, that's very similar to the language used in period dramas...all things Goong considered, can you imagine the havok that series wreaked with my period drama obsessed mind)

Hmm...the Goong subs you mentioned a while back are probably why I asked you.

Date: 2007-01-06 01:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Yeah, usually the subs range from mediocre but comprehensible to largely OK (typos and sometimes an odd sentence here or there) to excellent, but Goong? Was clearly done by a Marsian to took a correspondence course.

Heh...my Fugoh Keiji subs are the same. The subs have Chinese and English names instead of the Japanese ones for all but the main characters.

ah, i'm so jealous. my bittorrent died ages ago. i've been trying to download ISWAK 29 and 30 for a month. :(

From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Oh, that sucks. Can you use MU? (ISWAK is out on those).

Is it a problem with your torrent program?

Date: 2007-01-06 07:32 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] autumn-yaar.livejournal.com
Well I burned almost the whole series except for these episodes (HQ Hardsubbed) and those aren't available on MU.

I'm not sure.. it just doesn't do anything for long periods of time, and then randomly it will work again and I'm just like wtf. It's on and off. :\ I know its not lack of seeding, because they had tons of seeders in the beginning. :\

Date: 2007-01-06 09:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] klmorgan.livejournal.com
Hmmm. Does it show how many seeders you have? (They might have dropped off since it's available for direct download in several places.) Or maybe you just need a new bittorrent client?

Date: 2007-01-06 09:14 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] autumn-yaar.livejournal.com
Well, there are only 9 and 7 UL right now, but I've been trying to download since the day (or the day after) she released the torrent. I have also been trying to download the first episode of The Vineyard Man which has like 3 UL and 11 DL and it hasn't moved AT ALL, since a few weeks. So I gave up on it and deleted it.

The last two HQ are available for direct download? Where where??

I think I'll try a new client once these files finally finish downloading.

Date: 2007-01-06 11:28 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] klmorgan.livejournal.com
No, not HQ, sorry.

I'd reccomend BitComet if that's not what you're using -- it works wonderfully for me and might be compliant with your partial files. It's also freeware.

Is this the one where she pretends to be a boy?? Or am I confused?

Looks really good, I am hooked!!!

I can't make a sense out of clubbox yet, but I found the instructions on soompi:

Naaaah, that's different. The boy one is Hana Kimi.

This is Hana Yori Dango 2, sequel to Hana Yori Dango, which is Japanese version of Meteor Garden (or more accurately, both are based on the same manga).

It does? Ugh.

Were you going to watch with no subs? Because this is raw but as soon as the subs are out, I am sure they'll be out in mu or ss.

Someone on soompi was planning to ul it in a direct download from some site (not mu) so that should hopefully be out soon, even for raw.

P.S.

Shucks, downloaded it and couldn't get it to work. Bah, I'll just wait until it comes out with hard subs. Then I'll phone my 14-year-old sister to tell her what all she's missing.

I caved and learned to use ClubBox when I was watching TattaKoi and hitting refresh over and over again, waiting for the torrent to load. I am going to go snag the torrent now (I have to save my MU slots for the Johnny's Entertainment New Year's Countdown that I missed when I was at home) and omg, I'm very psyched to see it.
