dangermousieI'd like to recommend a Veronica Mars fic.
It's not only my favorite Veronica Mars fic, hands down, it's in my Top 10 fics in any fandom ever. In fact, it's so good, I think you should check it out even if you've never seen a second of Veronica Mars.

always_winter. Summary: Even when Aaron is trying to be a good father, there's still a lot he's doing wrong.
Yes, Dangermousie's fave VM fic ever is a non-shippy fic. It's an Aaron and Logan story. The fact that anyone could write an Aaron POV story and make it work is amazing in and of itself. The fact that someone could write it and have me feel that it is exactly right, that this fits, that I am in Aaron's psyche...another ballpark completely.
Reading it makes me shiver, and want to curl up in a ball somewhere, and go and find everything this author has ever written. Simultaneously.
