Am thinking of getting a paid account, as I want more icons and to fiddle with my layout.
Also, watching Clone Wars cartoons made me think of a variety of things:
1. The Clone War is excessively evil and excessively clever. Because both armies are completely expendable (droids v. clones), both sides just seem to transport them everywhere and inflict horrible carnage because they don't care about the casualty rates. This makes it very widespread, affecting many many many, which gives Palpatine extra legitimacy when he promises peace in exchange for Empire. Also, don't the Jedi (or any other good guys) realize that the Clones are NOT droids. They might be modified, but they are people. Yet no one ever treats them as such. Not the bad guys, not the good guys, not the Separatists, not the Empire, not the Jedi, not the Rebels. Interesting, to say the least.
2. By using armies that are uber-obedient even if you tell them to jump off a cliff, it really minimizes the importance of the Jedi. The role of the leaders in war is, in large part, to inspire the troups, but automatons need no inspiration. Clever Palpy, making Jedi irrelevant. And after all, even if a Jedi can take out 100 before dying but the ratio is stacked more than 100/1 and the troups won't grumble, then all Jedi will eventually be taken out, especially if he has someone like Grivous who can take Jedi out faster than they can make new ones (it takes years to create a new one after all).

It is my fave SW fanfic. It's A/P of course, but neither dreadfully dark nor excessively mushy. Me likes!
