This is for you [livejournal.com profile] jammer77 :P And also because I am rewatching the show. These are of the couple throughout the series so there be some spoilers.

I've got most of these from the Terra Firma threads.

These are pictures from my favorite ever TV show, Farscape. More specifically, of one of my biggest ever OTPs, John Crichton, an American scientist tap dancing on the edge of insanity (and sometimes going over) and Aeryn Sun, a former soldier in a Nazi-like alien military force known as The Peacekeepers.

You are welcome! I love the icon btw!

And as to Season 4, I think the second half of S4 is the best Farscape ever. So you are in for a treat :)

I created it from a picture Sue Andrews made, had to do some squeezing and adjusting but was pretty happy with how it came out.

Heh. I am pleased to have achieved my objective.

It's funny really. Ben Browder is not one of those with looks that I'd cast as "passionate leading male" (he's actually more "hey, look at that cute construction foreman") and the woman is not gorgeous in the conventional way at all, but the two of them together are hot. As in HOTT. It's like there's an earnestness to them that you rarely see in tv pairings. Looking at those I'd believe that he'd do anything for her. And the picture of him playing with her hair while they're in bed just killed me dead.

ROTFLOL.

You should definitely watch Farscape. The funny thing is, when I first saw an interview with BB, I was severely taken aback: he seemed this really laid-back, nice guy and I couldn't wrap my head around his being the sexy mess that is Crichton. It was then I realized that while BB was undoubtedly very attractive, it's Crichton that made me fall madly in love: because Crichton is this very intense, very messed-up, very passionate guy.

I've seen Browder interviewed before and he always seemed like a sweetheart and a laid back Southern boy. That's why I was a little started with how intense he looked in these pictures. Boy can do a dead sexy intense though. He just smolders in those. I'd be a complete puddle of goo if a guy looked at me like that.

Oh yes. It's amazing how different BB is from Crichton and I never realized how much on-screen was Crichton and how little Browder. It was surreal seeing BB: it was like seeing a twin of a character, only through a distorted mirror and with a completely different personality and manner.

You are so right. He is not your regular leading man type. But on screen he just simmers.

You are making me want to have a "Farscape" rewatch-a-thon. Luckily, the Starburst editions are making it possible for me to have DVDs - and the first one for Season 3 comes out in about ten days. YAY!!!

I have all of Farscape on DVD (those season boxes they did a while back) and I am planning to have a glorious marathon (obviously interrupted at times :P) starting tomorrow. Ahhh....

Heh! Well, I waited till we got cheaper and more space-saving DVD sets (love, love, love the Starburst editions) and now I'm collecting them as they come out...

Oh, I couldn't wait! I got hooked in S4 and when the show ended, had to see the back eps. SciFi was showing them and I started with S1 on scifi, but they were doing it not often enough for my liking (only 5 days a week :P) so I went out and bought all they had (it was up to 3.1 at that point) and it was agon to wait for the next DVDs! :)

Le SIGH ...
These two ... they are just amazing ... and BB and CB are just amazing - as John/Aeryn they are sizzling up the screen whether they are mad, angsty or passionately in love, as Ben and Claudia on stage there is still the chemistry but refined down to really good friends who trust each other workwise implicitly. I never shipped for anyone else as much as for John/Aeryn. From the first ep where she throws him down on the golden floors of Moya to the PK Wars ending. Kudos to the writers who always kept it fresh, angsty and none too sappy.

They are my second favorite ship ever. My first is Lymond/Philippa from the Lymond Chronicles. I started watching with "Dog with Two Bones," which was about the worst ep to get introduced to the show because if you've never seen it before you'd be horribly lost. And I was, but the J/A stuff, though I knew nothing about them, just hooked me.

Kudos to the writers who always kept it fresh, angsty and none too sappy.

Oh yes, just perfect.

OMG! Do you want to kill me? So much hotness and cuteness... guh! John/Aeryn OTP 4eva! They are my favorite OTP ever... I love how their relationship was written in the show. I got absolutely hooked to farscape around season 2 when my bf bought season 1 dvds on amazon UK... since then each year he would buy the next season and the rest is history.

I was having breakfast while checking LJ and then I came across this superb John/Aeryn heavenly pic post... Thanks a lot! You've made my day!

Yeah, I love them. So much hotness and angst. My friend tried to get me to watch the show for ages and I'd refuse. And then I did see an ep and got more hooked than she was. And hooked my then-boyfriend, now husband :P

Btw, icon!!!!! (that never gets old)

Farscape is the best ever. Jim Henson is the best ever (most of my Dad's-side family traditions involve his work in some way).

Awesome pics, you always find good ones. Btw, semi-off topic: were one to rent a Bollywood movie, where would they (I) get it? Netflix?

Date: 2005-12-02 03:58 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] dangermousie.livejournal.com
Netflix would definitely have a decent number of Bollywood flicks.

Need any recommendations or do you already have one in mind?

You were posting a while ago about Taj Mahal, and it caught my eye and my interest. However, any recs for a good "beginner" flick would be much appreciated!

See, LJ has not dumbed me down in the slightest. On the contrary, my cultural horizons have been vastly broadened!

Kal Ho Na Ho, Munnabhai MBBS, and Taal, I think. Are those good ones? From your descriptions, I thought so. I guess you can't tell till you watch, right?

I'd recommend KHNH oe Munnabhai over Taal.

J/A is the strongest, best ship I've ever seen. It beat my previous ship of Sheridan/Delenn.

All the ships on the show are so awesome (well, maybe not the Jool interlude but whatev). Stark/Zhaan is so awesome and so angsty and so unappreciated!

minor nitpick: The first pic you have under 'The Choice' is actually from Beware of Dog.

What? I'm not OCD, I don't have every scene memorized...

Heh, Yeah, there's the ugly annoying critter. I think I confused it with that weird seer-thingy in The Choice.

Yeah, I love Stark/Zhaan and don't understand why more people don't.
