The King and the Clown
Nov. 14th, 2006 02:07 amI should be in bed but hey, My Girl is a drug.
I have long meta on it (finished 13 which is the best thing ever), but for now, I bring you a MV (which can double as a trailer) for the next thing on my list once I finish MG:
The King and the Clown, a Korean mega-hit movie that
kitsune714 described as 'Farewell my Concubine' meets 'Brokeback Mountain.'
I first got interested in it because of the rave reviews, then got more interested because one of the main characters is played by my newest crush Lee Jun Ki, but now, after seeing the MV, it's moved all the way to the head of the queue. I mean, just look at it:

Date: 2006-11-14 06:27 am (UTC)I still think that if the wikipedia entry is correct, he learned the martial arts stuff so as not to get grabbed by guys who mistook him for a girl :P

Date: 2006-11-14 06:46 am (UTC)Well, he is a playboy (with women) who is in love with the heroine so convincingly he is shaking my OTP tendencies. I don't think he'll ever make Marlboro Man level (or anywhere near it) but he came across as very much a guy, no girly mannerisms.

Date: 2006-11-14 06:51 am (UTC)I meant, did the actor learn martial arts to protect himself, or the character? Cuz I didn't see anything at his d-wiki page.
And...from your writeups, I'm going to have issues and be rooting for him and the girl...I can tell...it's the one bit of trepidation I feel towards it.

Trust me, as awesome as Jong-Woo is, Gong-Chan is even more awesome. Seriously, OT3.

I really want to see this now.
I do wish he'd act in doramas more, because 2 hour movie v. 16 hour dorama? The latter would have a lot more LJK time :)
