Second teaser for Moon that Embraces the Sun is out.
And I am done.
I am officially not even bothering to check out this drama. First we had absolutely miscast against each other leads. Then we had the news that this is a 20-episode drama which has the first six episodes solidly spent on childhood portions. The hell? Leaving aside my personal preferences (I have never managed to do anything but fast-forward through childhood portions of dramas), this seems like an insane idea from the pacing perspective.
And now we have two of the most lackluster, dull trailers in recent memory. There are some kids running around in period clothes. The end.
Usually, if the casting and other stuff looks awful, I will check out the drama if the trailer grabs me. Or, even if the trailers and the idea seem not my speed, I will check out a drama if I am a fan of cast member(s) - see u Bu Jing Xin and City Hunter, both of which had promo videos and info that did not appeal to me, but I checked out for the cast (and ended up loving both).
But I have zero interest in the leads here, so there is nothing, not a single thing to hook me here, other than a somewhat morbid trainwreck gaping.
And why would I inflict that on myself? I will leave this drama to flisties and bloggers who love it. As for me - I think I'd rather rewatch a 'masterpiece' like Peach Girl twdrama instead. At least it had grown ups in it.
