The Pincess' Man caps - eps 23 and 24

I haven't done my usual ginormous 'end of year' post but you may rest assured that the drama that is going to get 'most romantic' award is TPM. In large part due to scenes behind the cut.
Best drama wedding ever? I think so. When he kisses her scar from where she took the arrow for him and cries. And the wedding ring exchange!

The morning after. I just love how they both glow, and don't even need words. Every time SY smiles, especially, it kills me - because it's as if he transforms back to his sweet undamaged self before all the tragedy. She can make him look like that despite everything going on.

Here for warrior-with-stubble!SY hotness

Thinking of their wedding.

Like I said, OMG. I've always found PSH hot, but this is a whole other level.

Se Ryung manages to escape evil secondary dude to tell SY's camp the ambush plans only for SY's officers to think she's a spy and prepare to execute her. Luckily, SY gets there in time. Oh, Se Ryung is ridiculously tough. And the way SY and SR are so functional and find peace together even in the middle of all the bloodshed and insanity surrounding them...And they are so tender with each other.

I love this callback to the scene in the brothel cellar. With her, he can put his burdens down and rest. Only with her.

Before the battle.

Oh, Sooyang, a monster until the end - telling SY that Se Ryung is pregnant to distract him so your guards can clobber him. You are human scum.

It worked.

When Se Ryung throws herself on top of almost-beaten-to-death, about to be beheaded SR - OMG.

She gets dragged off.

Seung Yu imagining himself, SR and their child as a family.

At that point, I was crying too hard to see clearly.

I want to hug the makers! It's a few years later, SY is alive and with adorable kidlet and living with SR and eeeeeeeee. I don't even mind his blindess (from that last beating) because they are so happy and also because that was the only way to get him to stop from leading rebellions until he was killed. Also, go Queen! Faking their deaths ans smuggling them out.

I love that end! The voiceover of their daughter reciting their affection poem as they go riding (which is so symbolic for them) and this time, she's the one teaching him to ride (again, after his loss of sight).

Best drama this year? Possibly. One of my all-time favorites? Definitely.
