They are so perfect and sweet and functional together. I hope that dimension thing can be resolved and they can be together forever. Xiu is such a lovely person, he totally deserves it.





Not that the bromance isn't awesome, either.






Ready to restore Guan Yu's powers via mystical guitars. It's a sign of how in love with this drama I am that despite realizing the insanity of the set-up I am still biting my nails and super-anxious.

Yeah, the demons disrupt the session and almost kill everyone and Guan Yu stops it rather than having his friends be harmed. Uh-oh.








I adore this OTP, even despite the fact that if it wasn't for bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.



Yeah, interrupting this process made GY age super-fast and he's about to die. You know how I said about bad luck...
































I love how Xiu is forgetting his 'proper' identity more and more - because even if his identity is false, the friendships and love are real. I seriously hope he'll be able to stay in this dimension once everything is over.

They are going to try again, with Cao Cao and Liu Bei combining their fighting points and playing together and the Wu Hu Jiang transferring all their points too, because that way they will have enough to play again. Only this means WHJ won't be able to fight against demons which the ritual brings out.














Heee, look who is here, saving everyone's lives from the Black & White (:P) demons! Zhou Yu and his fightin' posse with their own guitars of world domination. You know, if I had to put each character's strongest weapon, for Guan Yu it would be his spear, for Shang Xiang her bow and for Xiao Qiao it would totally be Zhou Yu :P (I could see wheels start turning in her head the second Liu Bei said he doesn't know any martial artist musicians except for himself and CaoCao so they might be weak against demon opponents with not enough firepower. Heh).





























The fight goes badly because Wu Hu Jiang cannot break connection, so Zhou Yu and his guys join the playing, thus freeing Wu Hu Jiang to kick butt.





























And then Dong Zhuo is about to kill Xiao Qiao...


























But guess who jumps in front of her to take the hit (without stopping playing for a second despite bleeding all over)...




Why are you so cool, Zhou Yu?





My favorite scene in the ep and possibly in the drama! He keeps taking hits and she is steading him and they have insane chemistry and you can tell he's kinda thinking "well, I might get killed but on plus side, bodily contact!"
























































You guys are SO not over each other. Are you kidding me?





OK, I am officially baffled by Zhou Yu. I mean, the guy loves Xiao Qiao enough to die for her (not to mention stick himself into dangerous situations that have nothing to do with him, when she asks) even though they are no longer in a relationship. But he didn't want to come to her competition performance or look for her puppy when they were dating because 'not important'? Bzuh? Dude, you so need to read one of those relationship advice books. Even in KO world, where people seem to engage in three to-the-death fights before breakfast each day, the majority of the time will be spent in somewhat normal activities and you clearly need tutoring in how to behave in those. Go buy her flowers, or something! (In case you haven't guessed this, this ep made me into a rabid XQ/ZY shipper).





But despite everything, the fight goes really badly and they are about to lose and die...












































But then! It turns out Liu Bei did manage to play the last note and Guan Yu has his powers back and they won!!!




















Awww, I love my darlings happy!





Bwahahaha, Xiao Qiao's love-life is basically everyone's business and knowledge (poor Cao Cao but hey, she never saw you that way anyway :P)



























Flashback as to why Zhou Yu showed up at the fight and risked his life for something that had nothing to do with him and for people he barely knows. It kinda kills me that all she has to do is to ask and he will do it (only asking that she won't be unhappy, in return). Man, why weren't you like that when you were dating? I don't mean rushing to get offed, I doubt that happens often - but surely if you can do this for her without even a second thought, you could go find that damn puppy or explain about Da Qiao or a million other things a sane boyfriend would do. Though I suppose he didn't realize that what he was not doing was losing her until she was gone. They are, seriously, the least "ex" exes ever. I am madly curious to see how they are going to work it out because their obstacles aren't external (family, evil dudes feeding them poison, being from different dimensions etc) - it's all about the personalities - it's not even "falling in love will solve it" type of thing because it's abundantly clear there is no lack of feelings on either side - no, it's just that she doesn't trust him with her heart but also they are both strong-willed and she doesn't want to be with anyone who'd try to boss her or do things without asking her "for her own good" and he can't help but try to organize everything in a way he thinks best in his super-logical mind and not think that he's running over people in the process. I am so curious as to how they will solve it - I do think if she was sure he really cherished her and her feelings (and not in life-and-death situations but little things), they could work it out, because she'd feel she had power in the relationship equal to his because they'd both be emotionally on the hook. Just speak up, idiot boy! Though even if he does, she's burned and hard to convince now...





















































I love Diaochan and Xiao Qiao's friendship. If I didn't ship them with Guan Yu and Zhou Yu respectively, I'd totally femmeslash them.








Not that I am forgetting other OTPs. I love just love how expressive she is with her feelings because he needs that security so badly. And I love how he's always so grateful and in awe that she loves him like that.

Oh, these two just kill me. I was pretty interested in their dynamic before, but we got so little of it, just a few bits here and there to whet my appetite, that I wasn't as involved as I otherwise be. But now - OMG. I went from zero to obsessed in a span of one ep.
