Got Fanaa (and a bunch of other Bolly movies) in the mail. Rewatched bits of it and God, still as excellent as ever and I still cry and Aamir and Kajol should be mandated to make another film together.

Also, got my DSL back so there was much rejoicing. And since I don't get cable back until Sunday, it will be my means to watch BSG (and I can finally watch Supernaturalpremiere).

Also, got my 87 (!!!) discs of doramas in. Considering the little time I have lately, and all the doramas I already had that I didn't watch yet, it will take me a year to get through them. Yay.

One of the discs was the Korean movie The King and the Clown which is supposed to be period and deal with politics and gay issues and all sorts of other interesting things. Here is a poster for it behind cut. The guy in the forefront is a guy btw, though I find it hard to believe.

Also, anyone have any idea why BollyWHAT is down?

He could actually pass for a girl pretty easily!

87 discs? That is hard core. I've got a bunch that I despair of ever seeing - including Spring Waltz. Damn real life!

Yeah, RL sucks :) I just got hit with a bunch of RL stuff so I am watching things at snail pace and I already had tons of unwatched discs as is...

If it helps, with the order I have coming, I have 70 discs...

Whoa, 70! I am staggered by the fact that I currently have 100+ discs of stuff I haven't seen yet. How am I ever going to finish it all? Why can't someone pay me for watching doramas?

Wow, 87 discs? How many shows is that? How much did it cost you? (And what place did you order from? I need to get the Korean film I saw recently on DVD but I want to do some price comparisons before that.)

re: BollyWhat, keine Ahnung, no clue. Crashed last night when I was in the middle of posting. Boo.

I think it cost me around $170 and it's a LOT of shows. It's not an official store so it doesn't really have movies, but mainly doramas...

OMG cannot believe 87 discs. That's just outta this world. Would def keep me occupied forever too. I have King and the Clown too ~ beautifully shot, wonderful costumes, and very subtle yet touching. Quite similar in plot to Farewell my Concubine, and if you've watched FMC, you'd be surprised to see so many similarities in the display of the performance constumes ;) And yes, I agree with you, it's hard to believe Lee Jun Ki is a guy, considering how pretty he is, LOL. Another (among the many) androgynous k-actors I suppose.

Yay! Glad to hear K&C is good. I've heard good things about it but I know so little about it...

The King and the Clown -- oh my god, how much do I love this movie. I have raved about aforementioned uber-feminine guy before (his name is Lee Jun Ki). He is an astonishingly good actor and is a relatively new face in Korean media. The King and the Clown was his big breakout role (it was an indie pic that became very well received) and he is also in one of my favorite kdramas of all time, "My Girl". His ridiculously androgynous features kind of bugged me at first but after seeing him in both "My Girl" and The King and the Clown, I got to see just how versatile an actor he is, and I think he's pretty awesome. I mean, he's good-looking for a guy who often looks like a woman, but Lee Dong Wook, the other guy in "My Girl" is just supafine so...apples and oranges, you know?

Ooooh. I did check out that post. Yup, definitely looks like a girl. I can't imagine he is a competitor for the heroine in My Girl (which I got btw) because who wants a bf prettier than she? :)
