I am taking a cue from hope_fuleigh and watching the last 10 minutes of Silence.



'I'll miss you. Next life...Shen Shen...next life...I promise. I will never leave you this early.'

And then she puts his head down very gently and putes the headphones to share and lies down next to him.

And his videotape to his mother! He is so scared at first and...

I HATE EVERYONE.

I AM CRYING SO HARD I CAN'T BREATHE AND MY NOSE IS ALL STUFFED UP AND I DON'T THINK I CAN GO BACK AND WATCH THE REST OF THIS DRAMA.

My throat hurts.

The writers need to die. Or experience some form of prolonged torture in retribution for the grievous wrong of killing off one half of such a perfect OTP. That is Vic Zhou. Who is FAR too good-looking to be dying. Even when he looks like he's dying, he looks damn good. Damn them all.

I KNEW IT!!!

I knew that this wouldn't end well from the start, and yet I started watching, and now I have to finish it, but OMG I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

But yeah. LC made me bawl like an idiot. The bit where he is dancing with her? Oh. My. God.

I think he drowns her and himself in the end.
The following scene is her and him united after death (hence the fake comment about his scar) and the last one is after a couple of years they are all united with their friends (Xaio Bai is there too, so it must be after death). Well that is how I see it but I could be wrong.

It is a bitter sweet ending ... I had so wished that she would wake up and they could happily ever after. And yes, the dancing scene was so OMG! And him singing to her Lonely Northern Hemisphere *sniffle*

You know, that sort of makes sense. I kept wondering how come all the people who were alive still ended up there, but if it's after all that time then...but why wasn't his Mother there then? Urk. That ending confuses me. I saw the second ending and was all 'yay, they lived' though it did seem odd about his scar (because I suppose he could do a fake one, but it could be viewed as OOC). Oh well, they are still together, but that bit where he just yells at God kills me. And when he is cooking and just crying. It's horrible.

But I really loved (even though it made me cry) that LC seemed to imply she saw everything and felt everything, just couldn't really speak up or respond as she was trapped inside her body. And she wanted to make him feel better but couldn't. The bit with the dancing (and how they do the Farscape-like bit with her standing on his feet): I am an idiot but I am crying right now.

Yeah the missing mother is strange ... but then again, they might just have overlooked it.

I wish they could have made him realize that she is with him, even though she cannot respond, but yeah him yelling at God, it had me in tears. :(

If you think about it, he's had a pretty horrible life all in all (and so has she). It's quite unfair because they are both really nice people.

I love how during the dancing/singing bit, it's both him imagining her there, yet she really is there 'spirit wise,' being with him, and their two wishful realities merge (if that makes any sense).

I love the scene where she 'comes up' behind him and tells him to stop crying but of course he can't hear it and yet OMG, how he wishes she'd say that.

That last episode just kills me all around.

On the plus side, LC still has the hottest kiss hands down (the underwater one).

Yeah if LC was a fairy tale, those two should have lived happily ever after because they deserved it.

The ending (the first one) is kind of romantic even though he both kills her and himself and his analogy with the sandcorn and the wind (playing with her name of Feng) was tear jerking.

Yeah, the underwater kiss is hot. Gosh, I wish the Western world would lay off all those long running soaps and start doing these kind of melodramas. This way you have 20 eps or so of love, joy, Angst and drama and then can look forward to another story instead of the same lame old story, same lame old characters who Angst for the sake of Angst.

Agreed. I love that in those the story runs its course and is then done.

I hopefully will be posting some more icons next weekend when I have an appropriate batch ready. It's difficult to find nice images though.

I think I prefer doramas to other series. As you said, the OTP will run its course and then you can have your favourite actors in another series yet again :)
What threw me a bit is the fact that LC was before Devil Beside You. Mike He looks much more mature and buff in LC than in DBY.

Yeah we have one little diva (border terrier mix) called Chica and atm we have a dog in care, a beautiful Podengo Portugues who looks like a beige-coloured wolf.

Sorry to hear you are so upset! I was suspecting this would happen. I appreciate very much these spoilers - I think I will give this drama a miss, I am not good with the bad endings, especially dying.

Hope that some more of ISWAK goodnees will cheer you up tomorrow! And you can always watch some "Mars" too. :)
