Gorgeous Bollywood Angst

I bring you...stills from the upcoming Bollywood movie Umrao Jaan, with Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. UJ is a movie about a turn of the century courtesan and her life. And Abhishek plays her OTP. Expect angst, gorgeous dancing, and mind-bogglingly beautiful design.















Also, I am super excited because Saif Ali Khan and Vidya Balan are going to be paired in another movie together, with the director of Parineeta (one of my fave Bolly movies, and in which they played the OTP and sizzled like a sizzling thing).

Guh at Abhi! I'm very curious to see how Aish will do. It's kind of unsettling... to see her in this role, because she looks so different from Rekha.

And this looks like a movie I'd like to see - if only Bollywood films were shown here. Having said that I do have to say I'll get to see Parineeta next Sunday, since there's a special movie festival viewing of it. Yay. I've never seen a proper Bolly film in a theatre before. And if I've understood correctly, Parineeta isn't exactly the worst possible film to see? ;)

Parineeta is one of my fave Bolly movies, and my favorite movie the year it came out (last year, I think). It's wonderuful and beautifully filmed to boot.

Eklavya. Yeah. I saw an anim of the two of them in that movie, they look AWESOME! :D
