Does Yamada Takayuki play some sort of sex worker in everything he's in? I mean, that was the least of his problems in Byakuyakyu, but I was completely amused to see that in ep 2 of TnU he became a host to be able to pay his bills. Is it some sort of Japanese equivalent of stripping your way through college? And now a predatory older lady wants him to be her personal hooker, too, but he couldn't because of Kaoru and quit the host gig entirely. Say it with me - awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Anyway, Kouji/Kaoru continue to be perfect. She's unworldly and uncompromising and unafraid, and he's so quietly disillusioned and without any hope or self-worth but still so very kind. And they are both so ridiculously young.
And that last scene with the moon. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelting.
Oh good Lord, I know how it ends and I still want her to be cured and then they can write songs together and live in a cramped apartment and eat sausages.
