The plot seems to be precisely written to appeal to me: (Got this from Asian Fanatics board) Xiao Jun (our heroine) slowly wakes up from a train accident. Losing all her memories and left with amnesia, Xiao Jun has no idea who she is or where she is going. Yet the ancient ring that she is wearing on her finger is proof of being the Du family’s eldest son’s fiancé. Therefore, Xiao Jun is confusingly brought to the rich and powerful Du family. The head of the Du family treats her and loves her as if she is his own daughter, causing the pregnant Xiao Jun to experience the feelings of a warm family that she has never felt before.
With the gradual recovery of Xiao Jun’s memory, she feels more and more frightened. She slowly realizes that she is not the daughter of a rich family that everyone talks about. Not only did she come from a poor family background, has a greedy stepfather, but the guy that got her pregnant has abandoned her. Before boarding the train, Xiao Jun is only an unmarried mother that has no where to go…
As for the Du family’s second son, Jing Hang (our hero), although he grew up in a prosperous environment, yet he still carries some heavy burdens in his heart: He betrayed the hopes that his father has for him, carries the burden of blaming himself for his brother’s death, and refused the love that Ke Ting has for him. He wants to throw everything away, but he can’t run away from the fact that he is the successor of the Du family. All these contradictions intertwine in his heart, making him feel as if he is an animal that is locked away in a cage – angered and unable to get away.
Jing Hang, who everyone disapproves of and the innocent and simple Xiao Jun, from arguing with each, resisting each other, they both gradually fell in love with each other. In front of them, there are numerous tests that they will have to face. Faced with his own sister-in-law, Jing Hang secretly makes a promise to the family ring that is on Xiao Jun’s finger that he will protect Xiao Jun from the threats of this dangerous world. Even if the price that he has to pay is to sacrifice his own life…

and you only have to watch Magic Ring a few hours each day. I've been looking for subs but all I found was the first ep subbed on d-addicts.One of my best friends is Chinese, but even if I could convince her to watch this with me (bloody unlikely), she is a Cantonese speaker and doesn't read Chinese at all. Ahhhh, I clearly wasted my time in college not taking Mandarin.
Also, Joe is SO HOT.
