dangermousieI have just watched ep 1 of Paradise Ranch and, shock of shocks, I really liked it!
Yeah, I know. I know. Changmin is still not my thing looks-wise (feed him, SM!) and I can't say he is an acting prodigy (though compared to his bandmate Yunho, he is better, but then anyone would be), not to mention I can't unsee those awful dude ranch promo pics but somehow I am weirdly charmed by the drama and its vibe.
I think because somehow it comes across as a Taiwanese drama which has mysteriously been cast with Koreans, down to the leads which are charming even if they can't act too well, deliciously warm weather (so nice during this nasty cold winter), the sweetly romantic vibe, and the inexplicable adorableness of it all. Twdramas are the only kind of dramas where I love the romcom genre.
So yes, I love my twdramas to bits and this feels like a twdrama so there it is...it's deliciously relaxing candy.
Is it objectively good? No, but I am enjoying it anyway and will be watching ep 2 for sure.
