Deathstalker question

dangermousieIf anyone on my flist read Simon R. Green's Deathstalker books, specifically the last 3 which are about Lewis Deathstalker, can you inform me whether Jessamyne Flowers ever gets less annoying?
I believe this is the first Green heroine that I find irritating - an opera diva is fine but all those "oh daaaah-ling, yes, being a star is fatiguing, let's gossip" is so not my thing. I keep imagining her in the same room with Hazel d'Ark or Ruby Journey or Evangeline Shreck or Diana Vertue or Frost (all awesome ladies of the earlier Deathstalker book sub-series) and it's not working.
I like Lewis himself just fine, and the supporting characters are a great mix of noble, tarnished and evil (Finn Durendal is clearly set up as next Valentine Wolfe), but Jessamyne - every time she comes on the page I want to groan.
Other than her indubitable good looks, I cannot see why Lewis would fall for her.
Yikes.
Also, I miss my Finlay/Evangeline OTP! Yes, I know these books are set 200 years after main Deathstalker books have ended. Do. Not. Care. Rose Constantine is a more psychotic version of Finlay and Finn is like what Finlay would be without a capacity for love but it's not the saaaaaame. I want my insane assassin for the Clone cause/Clone and reason for the assassin joining the Clone underground OTP!
I really need to do a post on various Green series - love them all!
