Randomness
Feb. 25th, 2010 11:41 pm1. Soompi Chuno thread is becoming a bit of a shipper war zone. I know I should stay away but I am too addicted to the drama. Still, can't we all agree that TH and DG are both awesome characters and that UN loves them both, in different ways and at different times, and let it go at that?
2. Promos, posters, and/or trailers for 5 upcoming March kdramas are out.
Oh My Lady - stills look adorable. My high interest remains high.
A Man Called God - even though I am still appalled by Song Il Gook's weight loss and weird posters, the trailer actually was AWESOME. Come to Mama!
Birth of a Rich Man - I am iffy on the premise (can be good or not) and like the leading man, which overall equals ambivalence, and the poster doesn't solve it one way or another. I do plan to check it out - you never know, I had no expectations of Pick the Stars but I adore it now.
Cinderella Unni - its atmospheric, crisp snow shots scream melodrama and actually got me somewhat interested in this - I was not before because of my dislike of the leading lady and outrage that one of my favorite actresses has been reduced to a second lead. Not to mention a random boybander is playing a second lead. Chun Jung Myung, the male lead, is the only one I was enthusiastic about but he can't save a drama all by himself (see What's Up Fox). But I love emo melodrama, especially if snow is involved, and especially so after Will It Snow On Christmas left-over goodwill. So I will check this out now.
Personal Taste - I was so looking forward to this but the stills actually made me not too interested instead. It looks ditzy. I am indifferent to Son Ye Jin (I know she is a great movie actress but all I have seen her in was Summer Scent drama and she did not impress) and her fashions and grimaces in the poster don't inspire me - I don't want another ditzy heroine. Lee Min Ho looks like he's been a victim of fashion disaster. And overall, the stills are just offputting to the max.
The one I am most excited for is Road No. 1 (even if it's not a March drama) - its stills make me rabid. Korean War, here I come!
