I am halfway through my first ever Telugu movie, Desamuduru, thanks to
main_hoon_emily's recommendation. I am watching the story of a crime reporter with iron fists and his mad love for a nun because of deep meaningful and spiritual reasons:

Allu Arjun, where have you been all my life? Your combination of soulful eyes, mighty muscles, and total inability to keep a shirt has won my heart utterly and completely. I think I just had a hormonal attack from which I may never recover.

See? This movie is full of symbolism and metaphor:

Is it wrong that this makes me hot? This movie has been made by my ID.

Our Hero spends a lot of time showing off his spirituality:

See:

OK, have it your way, it's blatant fanservice. I would say this is the most blatant example of fanservice ever:

Except we also have this:

Oh, Allu Arjun, I am ever so grateful to your gym time and good genetics (did I mention we first meet the character when he is working out and there are HORDES of close-ups of his torso etc as he works out. It's like the camera man knew what I wanted to see):

This totally summarizes why this is an awesome movie:

I refuse to admit this is not a spiritual experience. I mean, she's a nun!

A very sorely tempted nun:

Geez, who could blame her?

Hitting that would so be worth whatever her equivalent of confessions and Hail Marys would be:

I mean, how could a girl resist?

Seriously, come on!

Mmmmm. Being a nun doesn't seem so bad, all of a sudden:

Look how dedicated she is!

Just a few inches up, please!

In conclusion, plot. Deep and meaningful plot:

All that and a happy ending, bring it on!
A hero who takes time out from bloodbaths for justice in order to engage in a little nun-wooing and dance numbers is my kind of man. I see Telugu cinema and I shall become better acquainted. Oh yes, my precious. (And by 'precious', of course I mean the torso of chiseled fanservice).
