dangermousie | The Best Thing In The World! Eleventy!

This scene in episode 8 of Fashion 70s has, single-handedly, probably moved the drama into my Top 10.

It's the scene I didn't know I always wanted to see. Until I did.

What does it involve? Sucking out of poisons, mutual hurt/comfort, PTSD, and hand-holding through the night. Mmmm - perfect combo. Guy as object of hurt/comfort AND a caring nurturer. Whoever is writing this knows my kinks scarily well.

Meet Dong-Young (Joo Jin Mo) and Duh Mi (Lee Yo Won). Dong-Young is a former government official who had to go to ground or face jail for something he should not face jail for. Duh Mi is a woman who had lost her childhood memories due to Korean War trauma and PTSD and had been adopted and came to an isolated island with her adoptive mother. Dong Young has recently moved to the island. There is a latent attraction here but currently Duh Mi is pouting because last night Dong-Young sent her away when she came to visit him at night because of concern for her reputation in the small village.

Anyway, enough background. Now he is fishing for his breakfast, and she is generally annoyed with him.

Until she sees he is struggling to crawl out of the ocean and realizes he's been stung by a poisonous jellyfish (I think it was jellyfish, my subs got wonky). And then she runs to save him and drags him out.

Yup, she is sucking out the poison:

But as she continues to minister to him, the poison is beginning to take effect on her too:

But then he is beginning to come to, thanks to her efforts and sees her:

He half-drags/half-carries her to his house and some awesome taking-care stuff ensues:

Including checking her temperature *sigh*

More medicine drinking and towelling off:

Yup, he is washing her feet!

She is feverish and is in the grip of her PTSD nightmares:

And they spend the whole night like this:

And when he wakes up, she won't let him withdraw his hand:

More fever-checking:

Which turns into his stroking her forehead. *gibbers*

And then he carries her home to her Mom but the caps didn't come out :) A highlight is when Mom, understandably pissed-off, throws a bucket of water on him:
