I have finally caught up a bit with Black and White, still my drama of the season. I am now through ep 10 it is so bloody good. Yup, good enough for me to use a Britishism.
Guess what was my favorite part of the ep was? Guess. If you know me, it's a no brainer. Oh God, Vic! (((Zai Tian)))
Also, it's pretty clear by now that Chen Lin really likes Zai Tian. Her reaction to his reaction of the thing at fast-food place cleared any doubt if there was any before (and I'd say there wasn't, even earlier - see her grumpiness at his joy that morning). And I think Hero Cop is beginning to notice too.
So many questions...
* Who is Zai Tian, really. What is his background/why did they chose him to 'make over' and who chose it/why he doesn't remember his past etc
*Who is Xao Ma (hot dog vendor guy) and what is his connection with Zai Tian
* Who are the military people and why are they so interested in Zai Tian (and why they seem OK with knowing he has no past and just want to use it as his weakness as opposed to exposing him).
* Who was responsible for the thing with Zai Tian's girl and why (am trying to be vague here as not to cut)
* Why was Cola killed
* Why did that gang rob the place a couple of eps back as they didn't seem take much of value
* That creepy international miliatry unit- how/why is it involved and who hired them
* Who keeps San Lian gang informed of police actions - including telling them who the cop mole was
* Is Forensics Girl involved in theft of a gun as internal investigations guy implied and if not who did it and why did they try to implicate Forensics Girl
* Chen Lin's Dad seems to know of Zai Tian (he tells her he is especially undesirable). What is the connection
* And last but not least, will Zai Tian and Chen Lin finally make out and will Ying Xiong realize that he belongs with Forensics Girl? Except, I totally now ship Zai Tian and Burger Girl but that is quite obviously impossible. AWWWW. Curses.
The adorable morning scene. Zai Tian is so excited to go see Burger Girl and Chen Lin has tracked him down first thing in the morning because he didn't show up to her dinner with Ying Xiong. He totally misunderstands and assumes she is here because she and YX fought yet again. And he is so giddy and hopeful and smitten and you can tell Chen Lin is SO jealous - she treats it as another fling and snaps about women hating flowers etc etc. Heh.

Because I like Hero cop and forensics girl, even if not as much as Zai Tian or Chen Lin.
Hero and Chen Lin find Zai Tian in the aftermath of the explosion, all catatonic and manpainy (but with his clothes still pretty nice, I must add). I wonder if Hero cop is beginning to figure out Chen Lin is not into him but likes Zai Tian. It's pretty easy to tell, let's face it - she is fixated on helping him.
And then she comes and finds him (he is still at the site of the explosion) by herself at night, bringing booze and I love that scene so much!
His nervous breakdown is EPIC.
Seriously, Hero cop. You missed the boat and I think are beginning to get that she likes your partner better than you...I feel sorry for you. But not enough to stop shipping ZT/Chen Lin.
EPIC.
ETA: I started watching ep 11 (am on 2/5) and dammit, Vic is making me frelling cry.
ETA2: The scene in the underpath when they find him? OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. Best thing EVER.

ETA4: Whaaaaaa? the mob MADE Zai Tian? WHY? And why does Chairman says ZT is an important person to him. Oh God, please PLEASE don't make Chen Lin and Zai Tian secret siblings or something, I would DIE.
