Have finished ep 11 - in the middle of the ep my dvd died and I had to download. Which was a pain but had the plus of my being able to pester you with caps caps caps!

CAPS.
You know (to get the non-shippy stuff out of the way first) I really don't hate secondary girl so far - I think she is rather pathetic and needs a spine. I still think she is bizarre for glomming on someone she liked when she was 10 and hadn't seen since, but seriously - when the grown-up version of him goes on a couple of bland dates with you and then tells you "let's be friends," it does not an epic romance make, so stop being so freaky, secondary girl, and get some other guy instead.
You know, watching SW reiterated something for me - the dead-sure way to know who will get the girl if there is a love triangle is to see who among the boys has the most miserable backstory. For example, in real life if a woman had to choose between a good-looking, attentive, compatible doctor or a single-father gigolo with a criminal record and not even a high-school equivalency diploma, her choice would pretty definitely be the former. Not so in a kdrama, the gigolo wins every time! (Yes, that is a real kdrama example). In the rare instance where two men have backgrounds of equal awfulness, the heroine won't be able to choose - see Damo. So that is why it's Jae Ha the whole way. Phillip has had a pretty decent background and Jae Ha's prior life should lead him to a shrink and possibly meds, so Jae Ha wins. It's like kdrama's way of cosmic justice and consolation prize all in one :)

Anyway, shippiness! The way he calls her at night and just plays for her omfg omfg. Or he gets into the car and sits behind her leaning into her space - so very freaking gorgeous. Also, the confessional scene in the church was THE BEST ANGST I HAVE EVER SEEN. The way he feels so much love and guilt and self-loathing and just...guuuuuuuh. So good.
But it is all nothing to the sheer gorgeous giddiness of ep 11. They are so functional together, so happy, I melt just thinking about it.
He tried to break it off because he feels so guilty that his best (and only) friend loves the same girl, and he knows it, and so he was horrible to her to make her hate him (did I mention manly screaming of anguish in the woods? Mmmmmm. Yummy). And she slapped him when he told her he was just playing and he started walking away and then and then he turns and then and then...I was spoiled for the scene but I still held my breath! Yes, he can't help it!

And then he pulls back...

And dives in again. Mmmm. Dead.

Ehhh, Phillip is pretty in his pain but I still don't care, sorry. I am all about the OTP with this one, plus I am still convinced it's yet another headlong fling for Phillip. Basically, am too busy squeeing over height difference to care.

Woobies...

Look, Phillip! Did you have a horrible poor childhood with an evil swindler father or did you sell youself as a child to crazy evil people so your best friend could have surgery and was told she died as a result? No, so let Jae Ha have some fun in life, too.

Yummy yummy manpain of "I am being horrid to best friend" variety. Yes, please.

Especially with banging head on wall. Jae Ha is pretty good at being miserable as he's had lots of practice.

I don't really have any comments for this except SQUEE.

Awww, shy.

I love that even in love he is still quietly sarcastic. Heh.

*melt*

This is the shippiest, most gorgeously romantic kdrama scene ever. EVER. I don't care if you don't agree with me - then you are just wrong. wrongwrongwrong. If I were single and not so in love with Mr. Mousie, I'd be on the next plane to Seoul to find myself a hot angsty snarky pianist ASAP.

And then his psycho adopted mother interrupts.

Here because Eun Young is incredibly gorgeous.

Oh, and his mother tries to buy her off because her hobbies include controlling her adopted kid's life and screwing him up.

"Hi! We are your evil and insane adopted parents who bought you as a desperate child, lied to you, and made you pretend to be our dead son and still continue to do so. We can't allow you to be happy - that would mean we have to be unselfish for once, no way!"

They are awesome on the phone!

Jae Ha with that street urchin he helped before and continuing to do so - he so sees his child self in him.

Little does he know how much in common they have. Yup, his evil birth father is the urchin's "father." Hey, a man needs to live and the only way he knows how is to exploit kids.

Dating time!

He is so ridiculously pleased with himself!

Awww, he can't stay away and comes back.

I have never seen them this happy before...

He tells her he is going to tell Phillip about them (honestly, Phillip, you saw her kiss Jae Ha and she told you she can't like you. At this point, it's not something they need to tell ya, buddy).

I just like this shot.

Heee. Now he is the one driving and she is stilling like a Princess. LOL. Started with her as a driver and him in the backseat, then him next to her, and now this :)

He walks her to her house but they don't want to part so they go walking, holding hands, the entire day!

So ridiculously pleased to be together.

And he asks her to stay by him despite hardships.

Just as well he does, as Crazy Lady just got hold of their shippy piano-playing tapes and is one step away from using Fatal Attraction as a manual and killing Jae Ha's pet rabbit. Lucky for Jae Ha he doesn't own one.

Phillip might join her in the rabbit hunt:

But I don't care because next ep promises me this:
