Three Lessons of Korean Period Dramas:

1. Rooting for the Main OTP in a period Korean drama is equivalent to playing the lottery - both activities are about as likely to result in a happy outcome (see also: Hong Gil Dong, Damo, Bichunmu, Jumong, Emperor of the Sea, etc.)

Yeah.

Dojin finally does the right thing and lets Yeon go to Muhyul except she's been mortally wounded by a bad guy so their reunion after 2 years of separation consists of him holding her and sobbing "no, no, no" over her dying body. Ahhhh, kdramas.

On the plus side (with this drama, I take my cheer where I can get it!), he calls her "Yeon" for the first time and not "My Lady" the way he did the whole drama (side note: did her call her "My Lady" in bed? Mmmmm. That's actually pretty sexy).

Well, at least he has Hodong, their son. But since I know what happens to Hodong in history, when he grows up, that's not making me super-cheery.

It is totally perfect narrative-wise though. And now I can catch up on the drama!

2. You might luck out with Secondary OTP though.

She tells him she is preggers. AWWWW. See, that is what co-ed sleepovers lead to! I totally adore them.

Muhyul can have cute nieces/nephews now :P

3. The Bad Guy is ALWAYS hot. ALWAYS.
