Kdramas...a gift that keeps on giving!

dangermousieI have started Who Are You and so far, it's delicious.
The school to which Young In (Go Ara) goes. Young In is days from turning 20 (in Korean years) and can't wait to get out and be an official 'grown-up'
She is gorgeous.Also, she would have made the perfect Makino for Hanadan: she can do spunky and looks young enough. Argh.
With her friend (also, throughout the scene she is dispensing wisdom like 'if you let them kiss you right away, next thing you know they are going to go for your boobs.' Heh.)
Running away from loan sharks to whom her father owes a debt. This was the moment I fell in love with this drama. Five minutes in.
The world of Seung Hyo (Yoon Kye Sang) could not be more different from the warm, disorganized world of Young In:
This is just a gorgeous image. Because the character really is walled-off, isn't he?
During this scene we learn three things about Seung Hyo: he is young and rich (31 in Korean years); he is ruthless (he is about to take over a company despite protests) and incredibly shut-off from emotion; and he has OCD.
Excuse me while I swoon. Thank you.

The loan sharks want Young In (who, btw, wants to be a manhwa artist!) to sign over her body.
She bests them, though. I love her, she takes it from no one! She is AWESOME.
Meanwhile, her Dad is dancing as if he has no care in the world.
I love this!
So, we see where this is going, right? Young In has warmth, spunk, and character, but she is completely broke. Seung Hyo has tons of money and could solve all of Young In's financial problems without blinking, but he has no warmth or connection in his life. Nothing in common -- at least until Young In's soon-to-be-killed father turns into a ghost and decides he can use Seung Hyo's body for a small part of the day :)
In other news, a few promo posters for upcoming Iljimae are out and they look gorgeous. I think I might like this version much better than the greatly fanfared Lee Jun Ki version which ended up basically being a Saturday Afternoon Cartoon...
