I wonder if the kdrama writers will ever manage a whole ep with the protagonist(s) unhurt. I doubt it.
Is there any wonder I love kdramas?

(Isn't his face all "is it time for me to be hurt again? What did I ever do to the writers? Heeeelp!")
In other KOTW thoughts: I’ve seen comments from people who are watching KOTW re: what is wrong with Muhyul to turn against his country and work for King Daeso, the ruler of enemy country, and want to kill Yuri, his own king blah blah. Come on. It totally makes sense to me.
First off, I don’t see Muhyul as some sort of a grand patriot: he spent his whole life prior to meeting Haemyeong as a slave in a cave. That’s hardly going to inspire nationalistic pride or a great sense of what his country is like. He gets all fired up with the notion of Gogureyo nationalism, temporarily, because Haemyeong is all about Gogureyo nationalism, and whatever Haemyeong says Muhyul follows, seeing that he idolizes Haemyeong beyond measure. But I don’t think he has any intrinsic sense of it himself. In that scene with them freeing Gogureyo slaves being taken to Puyo, it’s not that ‘ooooh, fellow Gogureyo citizens are being abused by foreigners’ that is his reaction but more of a ‘fellow slaves are being mistreated and I know how that feels.’
So once Haemyeong dies, so does his investment in Gogureyo pride. He is rather rootless, in general. And of course he wants to kill Yuri: he understandably misunderstands and thinks Yuri sacrificed his own son to his enemies and made him commit suicide in order to keep his own power. Seeing that said son is Haemyeong, the only person in Muhyul’s life who showed him nothing but love and kindness and who was some sort of an idol to him, yeah, I can see the annoyed thing. Not to mention that he thinks Yuri also ordered the assassinations of Haemyeong’s followers, and viped out his friends and the woman who brought him up. I think he’d work for anyone if it provides revenge. Even Daeso. But the thing is, he doesn’t have a choice about Daeso: it’s either work for him or be tortured to death. And of course all the crazy ninja training he gets after agreeing to work for Daeso, on top of being in the position of having poison-tried-on and tortured for a year, probably doesn’t add to his overall stablity. So. Makes sense.

I think one of the main reasons I like Muhuyl is long hair. Am shallow. (Also, I know Song Il-Gook is 37, but there is no way he looks it).
Also, am still holding out for a hot ninja threesome of Muhyul-Yeon-Dojin. Come on, Yeon! You are clever and can orchestrate it, especially since both guys would gladly amputate extremities for you. Don't miss such an opportunity, girl! Why does this drama (or others, to be fair) have no American fandom? I want fic. Fic that would provide.
ETA: I found this nifty Muhyul/Yeon vid:
