I took hundreds and hundreds of caps but am trying to be reasonable here.

It took me eps to realize (I am thick) that Yeon's Daddy is the Chief Evil Ninja. Heh.

This scene was really awesome. Muhyul confesses to being scared before battle and Haemyeong reassures him. I really love that Muhyul does get scared. He can conceal it but he really does. Which considering the hair-raising things that happen to him...woobie! I love how Muhyul almost worships Haemyeong. He is the one consistently kind and good person in his life.

Princess asks Muhyul to teach youngest prince some fighting. Only for Muhyul to be slapped for his trouble by bitch queen.

Muhyul rides to save Hyemyeong:

But Hyemyeong rides to his death to save his father and leaves the most awesome letter for Hae Ap. *weeps for her ship*

The credits made me tear up:

Haemyeong escapes his father to offer his life to Daeso.

And Yuri is held at swordpoint and can't intervene:

Muhyul finds out and (understandably under the circs) misunderstands and thinks Yuri ordered this.

As mentioned and capped earlier, he gets taken by evil ninjas who make him a slave (again) and torture him and experiment on him by injecting poisons, for a whole year. No wonder he is a mess when we see him next. Yeon visits the ninja camp and sees and saves his life in super-shippy scene.

Did I mention the part where angsty ninja is all 'that's a lot of effort for a mere slave?' and she is all 'I do it because testing poisons on people is cruel. The fact that SIG is smokin' hot has nothing to do with it.' To which he points out that she is the cruel one because saving him means only that he will be kept for more torture.

Anyway, chief evil ninja, Yeon's Daddy, is all 'you survived this time, all it means we'll test you again and you will die.' and Muhyul replies 'I won't die no matter what you do. I have a mission.' CEN is interested and when he finds out the mission is revenge on Yuri he is verrrrry interested. CEN lives to hire crazy, suicidal, vengeance-driven maniacs.

Oh, and meanwhile Muhyul finally finds out Yeon is a Princess. Short version of Muhyul's life so far? "It's all awful."

They hire him as evil ninja trainee (by hire I mean 'do it or we'll kill you painfully and hideously' and appoint angsty ninja as his mentor. There is a lot more torture and misery and head games (one of the lessons involves making Muhyul and angsty ninja believe they are killing themselves. Make them volunteer for it, actually). All these make Muhyul even into more of a mess. But a very hot mess and even more deadly than he was before.

She also lets them malinger a bit. Since they are in evil ninja camp, malingering means a day of rest after 24 hrs of torture. (Seriously, the only way evil ninjas don't quit school en masse is they will be killed. Also, I don't think they get volunteers. Neither Muhyul nor angsty ninja are there by choice.)
