Grumpy about Korean Makino

dangermousieGoo Hye Sun for Makino? Errrr....Okay. I guess. It's not like I have a choice.
She is 24, which isn't old, but old if you set the story in high school with the actors they picked for F4. She is older then all of them, but that's OK. The problem isn't her age but the way she looks womanly. Not the age, it's the look. I wouldn't want Lee Yeon Hee cast as Makino either, and she is only 20 - but she still looks much too mature for a highschooler. There is a reason LYH is playing a potential love interest for Song Seung Heon in East of Eden, and he is 32. Same applies to GHS - Goo Hye Sun starred opposite Eric Mun in Chil Woo, and Eric is what? 30?
She might make an OK Makino for all I know in a Hanadan set in college and with a cast that would have e.g. Hyun Bin as Rui, but for those younger actors? Can't see it.
Grrrr.
If they were going for an older actress, might as well have tried to get Yoon Eun Hye (though they might have tried and failed, for all I know). Or cast older F4 (that would have enabled them to get bigger names).

At this rate, they might just have abandoned the ages thing altogether and got Jo In-Sung for Domyouji. Everybody wanted him for Domyouji anyway, and he is really famous, really good, and was born to play that role. And if they are casting a 24-yr old leading lady, they can cast a 27-yr old guy as a person a year older than she. In fact, they could have gotten a whole awesome 25+ cast, and got famous people who could act. But they didn't, because of age! Only to then go and cast GHS, WTF?
