dangermousieBecause I am sort of insane and think I can keep up with three dramas at once, I started Tazza, the currently running kdrama about the ups and downs of a professional gambler and love, luck and revenge.
Tazza boasts one of the hottest (and coolest) kdrama casts out there, with the four principal roles being played by Jang Hyuk (Thank You, Robbers), Kim Min Joon (Damo, In-soon is Pretty), Han Ye Seul (Fantasy Couple, Nine-Tailed Fox), and Kang Sung Yan (Let's Get Married, Single Father is in Love).
I am about half an ep in, so it's probably too early to make a judgment, but then when I have not been rash? I love it. It's cynical, fast-paced, and with an underpinning of angst. Jang Hyuk excels at playing cynical, even hard-bitten guys whose exterior brusqueness is a way of coping with past wounds, and who do have a melty heart under there if you know how to reach it. Plus, so sexy! Goni is not a nice person, but every time he smiles, I forget to care!
Anyway, there is childhood love, tragedy, and a lot of games of chance. Plus suits. What's not to like?
