OMG, he is so caught by her unconditional, completely open offer of love. He so wants to give in. Do it! Stop thinking of revenge! You are allowed to be happy!

Heee. "Gukja. Listen to this. None of the words that come out of your mouth are pretty. But your eyes...your eyes are very pretty. Don't dirty them. And let's not meet again." And he walks off. *swooooon* They have so much chemistry, it's insane.

Also, somewhere around episode 9 I finally fell in love with Dong Wook. Total love.Just in time for him to get his share of living hell. I have awesome timing. Just as I finally got Dong Wook/Ji Heon awesomeness only for it to be all torn hideously to bits.

Here he is, trying to reassure Ji Heon.

At the deathbed of the boy who got mortally injured in the riot.

And falling apart in the hallway outside:

(this is the first time I liked the fellow-revolutionary Hyo-Rin)

More angst:

Funeral and afterwards:

His brother Dong Chul calls and promises to come home, seeing how at the end of his rope his little sibling is.

(I just realized that the actor who plays Dong-Wook was the one who lost the heroine to Lee Wan in Snow White. I totally fell in love with him there and was desperate to see him as a lead in something. Yay, I got my wish).

Oh, the scene with Dong Wook and Ji Heun in the torture chamber killed me. When he is dragged in and he just hugs her and she weeps "I am sorry" over and over and tells him she "confessed" he was a communist sympathizer because the torture was so severe and he just soothes her and is "no matter what you did, it's OK." OMG. Love. And then they drag her out and they try to cling to each other...

(This scene made me cry)

And then he has a really good time:

So yes, Dong Wook=love, even if Dong Chul had to, once again, give up something he wanted (Grace), and more importantly, needed, to make it better for him.

And we conclude on this. How could anyone not ship them?

She has found him after he's disappeared for a bit.

But of course he promises to her father to give her up if he helps him get powerful and protect his family. He refused to promise it earlier, but now his little brother is in trouble and so once again DC subsumes what he wants, and you can so tell he doesn't want to promise. And Grace overhears and begs him to take it back but...

Btw, how anyone can not hate Myung Hun and his 'father' escapes me. Sure, MH is a fascinating character and his actor is damn good, but the man's a psycho and the fact that there are genuine 'woobie' people out there, boggles the mind.

So yeah, in the end? It's the caps of the couple from hell: Myung Hun and Ji Hyun. It's a sick, twisted fixation he has on her, and the more he hurts her, the more miserable he gets. I want him to die, but it's so fascinating to watch on screen.

All he does makes him only more unhappy.

STAB HIM, GIRL!!!! He just told he you he is the one who had you thrown in jail. And he will totally rape you if you don't. I've seen ep 11 bits.

Plus, he is asking you to. Do it!
