Yay, saw the UPN promo for 2.6 yesterday. Also, there is an opening scene floating out there.
Here is the link (for Real Player) (got it from L/V board):

Eeeek! I can't wait!
Logan at Duncan's party (and Veronica et al are there). And being led out in handcuffs because of witness re: Felix? Whoa. *dies* Is it Wednesday yet? I need my woobie fix!
Aaron! Aaron is back! *does a happy happy dance* For a psycho murderer, he looks hot (yeah, yeah, I am sick, whatever). And he is telling Keith he is not a murderer (umm, didn't you try to clobber him to death and burn his daughter alive? Tough crowd, I'd think). I wonder why Keith is talking to Aaron.
Lamb and Logan in the same shot? Snarky hotness!
Joss Whedon. Joss Joss Joss Joss. Heeeee. I am a fangirly dork and I don't care.
I was also thinking that the biggest item for me on a mythical wishlist for S2 is one episode where Logan and Veronica are a couple from beginning to end. It doesn't seem that much to ask, but we haven't had it yet. WOMD they kiss at the end. In Hot Dogs they start the ep avoiding any feelings, in MAD all the bathroom snogging ends in her standing him up and thinking he raped her, in ATttD, she runs out on him at the end, and LitB she turns him in to the cops. And of course by the end of NitW she is dating Duncan. One of the reasons I liked L/V together was because they came across as a couple of hot-for-each-other 17 year olds, rather than the jaded and screwed-up 35 year olds they come across as so much of the time, due to their backgrounds. Come on, RT. One ep. Is it so hard?I'd take half-dozen, too.

I'm am so with you on this.
Those poor kids! RT subscribes to the JW philosophy: "No one is allowed to be happy for too long!"

Date: 2005-11-03 06:01 pm (UTC)Well, from a writery perspective it makes sense...I suppose...*shuffles feet* but from a viewer's standpoint, (and I do love angst, mind you!) I need a pay off eventually. Sometimes it is nice to have a happy ending.
And those two have so much freekin chemistry! It's a sin not to keep them together - whether it's more snarky scenes or more loving scenes...

Date: 2005-11-03 06:04 pm (UTC)Yes. Though Joss-world made me really nervous about that. Let's hope RT is not a follower of "no happy endings" philosophy!
whether it's more snarky scenes or more loving scenes...
Yup. I can deal with them not being all over each other. But I do want them to interact!

Date: 2005-11-03 06:02 pm (UTC)I'm loving the opening scene, too. I can't believe we have a whole week to wait. Dammit! I want all episodes right now.

Date: 2005-11-03 06:03 pm (UTC)Yes! I got so spoiled, discovering VM season 1 on DVD and being able to watch it as much as I wanted. This hour-a-week thing is driving me crazy :)

Date: 2005-11-03 06:31 pm (UTC)Yes yes yes. Although one episode isn't even enough. The problem is I want them to end up together, but I don't want to wait until the end to see them back together. I also know they won't be together throughout the show's run, because that's not dramatic and it doesn't torture Logan, but I don't want it to be a back and forth situation either. It's a conundrum. I'm glad I don't have to figure out the perfect way to play it.
Is it Wednesday yet?
I know. It's killing me, because next week looks so good, judging by the short clip. And Joss, Cliff, and Haaron. I'm so excited!

Date: 2005-11-03 06:45 pm (UTC)Yay. I love all the continuity stuff.
Re: V/L. I actually think they could make them have a relationship and be interesting, but that would necessarily cut down on Logan angst and they seem to love that.
I hate back and forth, because I get just annoyed and want her to pick somebody and stick with them. Maybe they could have them be reluctant snarky friendly allies with a huge deal of UST thrown in? I could happily live with that.

Date: 2005-11-03 10:41 pm (UTC)I would love to see RT attempt it, because he is a master at taking cliched storylines and making them fresh. But it would cut down on the angst, and they don't seem to want that. I, on the other hand, would welcome it. JD does angst so well, but they're treading dangerously close to the edge already. I don't want them to become totally unrealistic with his characterization. The boy should probably be in a mental ward, as it is now. I can't even imagine what next week is going to bring.
I could deal with reluctant, snarky allies with UST too. That sounds kinda hot. I do want them to get it on sometime this season. It's just killing me.
Did I mention that I can't wait for Wednesday? This is what it was like last year during the last few episodes. Soon as one ended, I was desperate to watch another.

Date: 2005-11-03 10:53 pm (UTC)Exactly. I mean, the boy is already a horrendous and justifiable mess. I mean, if he was suicidal during the season finale, there isn't much more they can heap on the guy. But yes, his situation has sort of imporved since: he is all alone with no one to love him, but that's how it was for most of his life anyway, and at least Aaron is out of his hair and he's reconciled with Duncan. Any horrendous angst over V had time to scab over a bit, and I think the tention from the almost-trial is also easing off. Of course, there is still the "my dad slept with and killed my gf and also used to abuse me" thing which is enough for psych ward right there, but it's not as bad as he probably was a few days after S1 finale. So of course, they'll ratchet is back up.
The thing is, if he gets too much more angst, he won't be fixable, because people do break and he would be getting to that point. Of course, few things could top the end of S1 so I suppose that's the bright side.

Ohhhh, yes. I would love that. Hopefully I'd be getting my wish. Please?????

Date: 2005-11-04 06:05 am (UTC)"Trouble child, breaking like the waves of Malibu." That lyric reminds me of Logan. He is a mess. And it's almost over the top right now. I'm not sure any kid with his background could suffer what he has gone through and remain relatively sane. That's one complaint I have so far this season-we're really not seeing any fallout for Logan, which is rather unbelievable. I compare it to Angel, because Wesley is a character I loved who suffered tremendously, and angsted(is that a word?) prettily, but it changed him. His character was drastically different because of what he went through. That really hasn't happened yet on VM, and in one way, it's okay, because I love Logan the way he is, but on the other hand, I feel like he should be broken, even though I don't want him to be. Or I guess I just want him to be fixable.

Date: 2005-11-04 03:44 pm (UTC)The thing is, I think the worst of it for him was over the summer, which we didn't see. And by now he's come to terms at least enough to be more conventionally and functionally self-detructive (because what little we see of his behavior definitely is screwed-up).
Plus, I do think that his horrendous home life was good for at least one thing: it gave him a really high threshhold for breaking and also quite a good capacity for endurance. Because living in that house was either going to beak him totally or make him stronger and I guess it worked into the latter. I mean after Aaron, he might be a headcase, but anything else won't be as great a shock (as compared to Duncan the Golden Boy who flips so much when he finds V is his sister, IMO in part because he's never had to have any hardships before).

Date: 2005-11-03 08:39 pm (UTC)Dude! I was right! I was right. I knew Logan got off too easy.
And you know that if Logan's in trouble, V's gonna be there to get his back (although the silly boy doesn't seem to know that himself due to that unfortunate 'maybe you murdered Lilly' thing but, hey, she went to Duncan's to try and clear him and... sorry, fangirled there for a minute).
One of the reasons I liked L/V together was because they came across as a couple of hot-for-each-other 17 year olds, rather than the jaded and screwed-up 35 year olds they come across as so much of the time, due to their backgrounds.
Word. You should go to Austin and tell him so!

Date: 2005-11-03 08:45 pm (UTC)Heee. I'd love to go to Austin, though not to tell RT anything, but I wonder if my husband will think I've gone insane.
you know that if Logan's in trouble, V's gonna be there to get his back
I really really REALLY hope so. Because she's helped people out of much lesser jams, and here is her friend and sometime boyfriend accused of murder (!!!!!) I don't know though, she might feel unequipped. But please, please, please let her help. Not even because she needs to find stuff, but so Logan would know, break-up or no, she really does believe him unreservedly.
I knew Logan got off too easy.
Yup. There was no point to bring it up at all only to drop it 5 minutes into Premiere. It was bound to come up again.

Date: 2005-11-03 09:03 pm (UTC)Mmm, my friends already think I've gone insane. I'm telling myself I can't afford to go and I know I can't afford to go but I'm enjoying the fantasy of going.
As for Veronica and Logan, I can't imagine that Veronica would let Logan sit and stew in prison. He told her that he didn't do and she said she believed him. I figure that Veronica would stick to that unless she found a compelling reason to distrust his word, like, say, lying to her face about his alibi. I notice that people tend to forget that when Logan found her Lilly Kane files, they talk about his alibi. Of course, they weren't dating then, but Logan doesn't tell Veronica about his trip to back to Neptune to see Lilly until after he's arrested.

Date: 2005-11-03 09:10 pm (UTC)Yes, but I think there is a difference between believing him and actually investigating. I really hope she does investigate, because otherwise, how is Logan to believe she believes him, especially with their history...
I'm enjoying the fantasy of going.
Me too!
Logan sit and stew in prison.
Look away if you don't want further 2.6 spoilers
Well, he does make bail. But I do hope she won't wait until/if he is convicted to look for clues.

Date: 2005-11-04 08:09 am (UTC)And I do want Logan and Veronica together for at least one whole episode, but I have an uneasy feeling that it's not going to happen. Not yet, anyway. Maybe in the second half of the season (just a guess). Gotta tease us as long as possible. ;)

Date: 2005-11-04 03:45 pm (UTC)Well, maybe he is just an attempted murderer :P
Gotta tease us as long as possible
Yup, evil RT :) Afte all, VD shippers (all 3 of them) have been getting eps and eps and eps.
