Lawyer's eyes aren't dead any more, and not just with Librarian.

How does this drama manage to get better and better with each ep?

Somehow, Lawyer doesn't look brooding and chilling when he sits all alone in his stark apartment. He just looks desperately lonely and sad. It's funny, because even in the very beginning of the drama you see hints of his humanity, but now, it is there full force.

I hate tabloid journo and this scene made me love Cop SO much.

So trapped. And thinking what Librarian told him, about the dark tunnel and all. He wants to come out, but yet he is trapped and afraid. But I think just by being herself she restored some of his buried humanity to him (what I love so much about Mawang, though, is that it's not the cliche 'for love of a good woman' thing. No, it's interactions with good people (her included), and burgeoning knowledge of Cop as a good person, and realization of damage his actions are doing, and oh yes, love, that are all doing it).

And Seung Ha, in the junkyard where his brother was killed, so open, so hurting, so human.

This is the scene after the restaurant scene (about which I already posted). OMG. First off, whatever the song that is playing during this scene, it is the most gorgeous thing imaginable. And oh God, how I love the way she looks through his eyes. But the thing that I notice the most? How he wants to hold her hand, so desperately, and he reaches for it, and forces himself to stop and has to ball his hands into fists.

And he thanks her for the meal, and tells her she made him remember what it's like to have a good meal. So she smiles and tells him she will take him out again sometime. And he looks at her, just looks at her, as if in farewell. And you could see how he wants it, and how he tamps down that want, and he tells her, very gently, that he will not be eating with her again. And walks away, hands still balled into fists.

As I said, he isn't menacing or calculating when he looks out, any more, just very alone. Even the smile is sad, not smirky.

I loved this scene between him and the Cop so much. I think this is when he starts to see Cop as a person, and maybe not an evil one. When the Cop muses that he (Cop) made this unknown killer this way etc etc. Btw, this scene rocked it out of the park, acting-wise. Both UTW and JJH are absolutely amazing. I am in awe. I think Lawyer wanted to see Cop to confirm to himself the rightness of his cause, so buffeted by everything, but instead, he just got more uncertainty...

'I thought God would grant me forgiveness just once. I guess He just faked it.' I loved that scene even as it almost mademe cry. Because that is how it must seem to him, definitely. He climbed out of the pit and became good but is being thrust back in.
