Some Logan thoughts

I have decided that Logan has awesome coping skills. Honest. In less than two years his girlfriend was murdered, his mother committed suicide, his new girl turned him in for the murder he did not commit, he discovered that his father was sleeping with and killed the dead girlfriend. He got beaten by a gang and put on trial for a murder he did not commit and became the least popular person in Neptune (at least with the have-nots). As a cherry on top of the happiness sundae, the one remaining person in his life who he cared about left him (understandably so, but I bet he does not see that). Oh, and then there is the whole he came from an abusive home thing and the fact that he has literally no emotional support at all. There's no one to make sure all his meals aren't liquid, let alone to see that he sees a therapist. He ended the Spring balancing on a ledge of a bridge, contemplating a long jump down. And his situation didn't get any better after that.
Considering everything that happened in his life lately, he should be locked up somewhere with padded walls and friendly people in white, or stealing some of Duncan's pills. Instead he acts out in some self-destructive ways, sleeps with his friend's stepmom, and participates in a class war. That's pretty tame and coping considering.
It's actually rather interesting because I think he is trying to repeat the pattern that happened after Lilly's death. Lilly's death turned him into a Grade-A jerk. As we can see from the flashbacks, before her death he was a normal enough guy. I think throughout S1 we saw his slow re-emergence out of that shell. Of course it all blew up in his face even more spectacularly, and he is trying to repeat the pattern. But I think this time his heart is very not in it. I really hope he is going to climb out of this downward spiral at some point, because it would be horrible to think that an otherwise worthwhile person is completely destroyed by their circumstances.
