First off, a fic rec. Let Go is an amazing X-Men: The Last Stand fic by babel. It's Scott and Emma Frost-centric (no not that way), sharp and romantic and clever all at once and it's good enough that I'd love it even if I didn't know anything about the fandom. And now a bunch of picspams united only by their prettiness. First off, a Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna picspam. This Indian flick about two married couples living in New York who find themselves torn when Dev (Shahrukh Khan) and Maya (Rani Mukehrji) fall in love with each other despite their marital status is going to kill me with the anticipation.

Totally agreed. Actually, wasn't Karan planning to have SRK-Ajay-Kajol for some kind of a triangle movie and it fell through (way before Fanaa). Maybe it was this one and that would have been to die for.

- My theory is that Preity is hugging Kirron. I think the other's woman's hair is longer than Rani's is. As you can tell I haven't given it that much thought. At all.

- I love that scene of them hugging in the rain... SRK looks maaad in that part of the trailer. Can't wait.

- Anyone else notice the large numbers of flailing arms in the trailer, SRK in particular? Oh and of course Abhi with his rage issues.

- That pic of Hayden in the pink shirt crying? One of my favourite photographs of all time.

I read that director's note somewhere and it was kind of inspiring. Ha, it's either really good or really bad that I want to write fic for a film that's not out yet. Basically, I got inspired to do a fic on SRK's character. I saw it like, he has given this choice by his parents to do what they want him to do with his life (lawyer doctor businessman type jobs) or do what he wants to do (play football/soccer) but agree to marry Preity, who's a family friend's daughter or something.

So he does something he doesn't want to be able to do something he wants to. And I love those sort of compromises, especially when he eventually realizes (with his injuring himself) that football isn't going to be there forever, he can lose it but he can't lose his wife, his marriage that was the compromise he made because it seemed to make sense at the time.

When he isn't able to play anymore it's obvious he realizes this compromise wasn't worth it and the marriage starts to slowly fall apart as the two begin to see how unfit they are for each other. SRK doesn't get what he wants (have his career, obviously a very focused, dedicated athlete with the tattoo and all) and Preity doesn't get what she wants (whatever that is).

I should add that this sort of "omg what a fantastic situation" feeling I did get for Fanaa as well. Though then it was all "mmm, terrorism for max dramatic effect!". :D!

LOL. Interesting though. I do think SRK married Preity because he liked her and fancied her, even though there was no OTP. But the marriage was fine as long as there were no stressors around and then his career fell apart. Well, we'll find out...
