I have finally cracked and gotten a Netflix account. I went a bit crazy but they have all these Bollywood and Chinese and Russian movies!!!! And a free two-week trial! So far I have 17 movies in my queu, and the plan allows me to get five at a time. Guess which movie tops the list? Hameshaa! Yes, I'll finally see Saif and Kajol together in a movie. I am sure this movie is dreadfully cheesy (it's about lovers who reincarnate, after all) and it will have the dreaded mullet hair but Kajol! Saif! Angst! It's the only movie they made together, and I have a huge Saif and Kajol craving. Actually, it's because of it that I joined Netflix as I would have happily bought it outright, but couldn't find a sale copy anywhere. And I got Bluffmaster and a couple of other Bolly flicks (Zinda, Ek Khiladi Ek Hasina, MPKK) and Bride with the White Hair, and a bunch of Stephen Chow comedies and a Nicholas Tse flick. There are 18 movies in my queu and oddly enough, none are in English. They are all Chinese/Indian/Russian. But then I can get HW movies down the street!

As to Hamesha check these youtube vidoes of the songs for yourself. Bad hair and odd outfits or not, they are adorable!

In other very amusing news, the Baby Brangelina war is very amusing, as mags sent cease-and-desist letters to various blogs that posted the pics. This one is especially entertaining. Read the comments!

And in other amusing news, here is a youtube interview with Hrithik that is just bizarre. Also, you are hot! Now lose the hat! Who dresses him? Did he decide to be equal opportunity and employ a blind fashion consultant? What's the point of being uber-hot if you don't show it off?

And to conclude on another happy note, here is another KANK pic. My favorite so far. SRK and Rani. I can just feel the angst. And it is gooooood.

Actually Kajol and Saif were also in Yeh Dillagi together along with Akshaye Kumar. *resists the urge to get a Netflix account*

Yes there is. ;) I wasn't sure if you didn't mention that because they didn't end up together so I put it out there just in case.

Yup, I want to see them as a frolicky couple. Or something ;)

I've just realized that Kajol, Rani and Preity all had movies with the Three Khans+Saif+Hrithik. Heeeee.

And Juhi and Manisha and Karisma all had movies with the three Khans. Heeeee. The industry is kinda incestuous. :)

AND they were both in Bambai ka Babu (or something similarly titled), although they weren't opposite each other.

Ha! I was there that day of filming! I loved the fake rain.

I found the "Dickensian romp" comment on there hilarious. Memo to People, don't pay over a million dollars for baby pictures. Seriously.

What kind of movies do you normally like? Angsty romantic melodrama? Then I recommend Veer-Zaara. It also happens to be my favorite. Devdas (the one from 2002) is also good to start with.

KANK, damn that film.. I try not to get too excited because it's KJo and god knows KJo films have a tendency to go wrong for me at some point (KKHH only had an annoying kid, though, I like it best because of that). But it does look DAMN gorgeous and Abhi-Rani (dyyysfunctional!) and SRK-Rani (main couple!!) and Preity looking good and Abhi looking, well, like himself and just guhhh. And the music is composed by the trio behind DCH and BaB, two of my absolute fave soundtracks ever.

Still, at this point it's fairly easy not to get overly excited. Football starts today and to be honest, I've already seen the only 2006 film I was *dying* to see which was of course Fanaa. Kajol love goes over even my combined love for Abhi, SRK and Rani.

I have Hameesha on the comp, will probably watch it today. Saif and his mullet flicks, I used to avoid them like the plague but nowadays I don't care. I guess it shows the fangirl obsession. ;)

Which kid do you mean? Little Anjali or the mute boy who counted the stars?

Kajol love goes over even my combined love for Abhi, SRK and Rani.

Heeee. Nothing trumps my SRK love, though Aamir/Kajol came close :D

Saif and his mullet flicks, I used to avoid them like the plague but nowadays I don't care. I guess it shows the fangirl obsession

The only Saif movie I saw from pre-2001 was HSSH which I liked (but I think you'd hate) so this is new territory for me :)

Little Anjali. The mute Sikh boy was ADORABLE.

Yeah, I had to fast-forward half of HSSH.. Saif-Karisma was about the best thing about that movie. The rest of it made me want to stab myself. ;) Sugar overdose!

Yeh Dillagi was cute and has a few very cute Kajol-Saif scenes & one awesome song ("Ole Ole Ole"). It's still the type of annoying "little brother" roles Saif did back then. It shows his talent in comedy, though. Hameesha, which I watched 70% of yesterday, doesn't even have that and it ..I don't know, turned me off. Too much of Kajol swearing love all menacingly. I will finish it eventually but it doesn't seem the "cute" that I saw it being described somewhere.
