Love for flist, betaing and Bollywood
Jun. 5th, 2006 04:23 pmIs anyone willing to be a beta for a Baltar and Six centric fic? Set right after S2 finale? Probably two or three parts? Basically for canon-checking and maybe to bounce ideas off of? I'd be very grateful.
Seeing there are all those stupid hate memes going around, I'll do a little love post of my own.
I want to thank everyone on my flist. You all have provided me with hours and hours (entirely too many, as I have no life) of fun. I've read wonderful fic thanks to you, I've became an 'owner' of many gorgeous icons I could never have made myself, I've discovered new fandoms ('Roswell' courtesy of
vierran45, Asian cinema courtesy of
koalathebear, anime courtesy of
katranna and
crumpeteer, Veronica Mars courtesy of too many people to name), I've read wonderful books thanks to your recs (most notably "Shantaram" courtesy of
linaerys).
I've discussed many things, from TV to politics to Bollywood, and learned so much from the insightful meta or simply goofy insanity that you post daily and that often makes my day.
Every day I read about things I find fascinating and that I wouldn't know about if it wasn't for you: from knitting to NASA projects to daily life in China.
Thank you, everyone. Thank you very much.
On a less sappy note, here are a few more pictures from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna
Oooooh, feel the tension!

KANK album cover:

Anim from SRK and Kajol's "Suraj Hua Maddam" number in Kabhi Khushi Kabie Gham (my favorite picturization ever, with the one with Aamir and Kajol and the leaves conducting a close race):

SRK performing (I have no idea what this is from):
Anim from Veer-Zaara (SRK and Preity Zinta):

SRK and the rest of the cast of Kabhi Khushi Kabie Gham:

SRK and Rani in Paheli:

SRK and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai:

And just because. Hrithik and Amisha in Kaho Na Pyaar Hai:

Date: 2006-06-05 08:40 pm (UTC)I just think there isn't enough Baltar and Six fic out there. I love Lee and Kara and Helo and Boomer, but B/S are so fascinating. I am full of trepidation about writing their dialogue though because they are both so clever.

Date: 2006-06-05 08:36 pm (UTC)Zee Cine Awards 06, performing a DDLJ song with Rani. The wedding song. Why do I know these things?! Haha, it was a cool awards ceremony though my favourite performance (besides the SO COOL Bluffmaster thing with Priyanka and Riteish just doin' the boogie) was definitely Saif performing a Hum Tum song with some girl called Meera (as a part of a YRF tribute, the SRK-DDLJ performance ended the whole thing) and he was in his Omkara haircut and just looked plain hot.
You can download the performances at ...*looks it up* http://srkpagali.net/

Date: 2006-06-05 09:12 pm (UTC)Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is totally worth checking out. It was a huge huge huge hit when it came out (1997?) and totally worth it, IMO. The beginning is a bit slow, but the second half is to die for.
