dangermousieBichunmoo is addictive with its sweet young love, and tentative kissing, and 'the other guy' who is actually a really good person and good friends with our hero.
And Jan-Ho and Xiulie have real conversations: believably young, and in love and normal. No flowery exaggerations, no mute staring only. Perfect.
Also, amazingly, this doesn't drag at all.
I am also amused at the fact that the slashability in this one is off the charts.
The other guy is all (when he meets Jan Ho) telling him that when he saw him something moved in his heart and I thought, have I at last met that man who is destined to be...*pause pause* my friend?
There is also a lot of staring, and other guy at one point says, out loud (I paraphrase) 'I haven't seen Jan Ho for a day only and I am grumpy. Is it possible that I have fallen for him and not Xiulie?'
The stuff writes itself.
I adore Xiulie, who is remarkably common sense and unfussy and low maintenance. And Jan-Ho who is sweet and decent and a little shy, but despite his youth no weakling or emo idiot.
He is awfully lonely though, what with the vagabond existence imposed by his Uncle. I love the scene when he is drunk so he is actually asking if they could stay in this one place becase Xiulie is here and also 'I made a friend' and it's clear he never had one before.
OMG. So much love.
